[*]Blonde is recessive though, so it can show up even if the parents don't have it. I knew a family that had neither parents blonde, but two out of three kids were the brightest natural blonde you'd ever seen.
Family Resemblance: Anything more than skin tone?

Seriously the changes of Hawke's family members go beyond skin tone? I mean I was totaly fine with just skin, but the faces structures and hair go along with your customizing? This is just more icing on an already delicous cake. AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME.
Man I wonder if this approach will be executed if Spacer Shepard were to see their mother.
Which honestly I must say I find weird.
The actual facial structure of your siblings changes based on your appearance but not their hair colour?
Why? Siblings can have different colour hair and still be.. ye know, siblings.
I mean, I have VERY dark brown hair naturally, verging on black. (I'm a bloke for the record), however, my two sisters have completely different hair colours yet we all have the same parents. One sister has brown hair with auburn highlights (natural), and the other has very light blonde hair.
We all have different eye colours too. I have brown (I think I got the most boring genes out of the lot. >.>), the one with redish hair has green and the blonde has blue eyes. And yes, we're sure we have the exact same parents. (We kinda concluded after our parents passed away that maybe our mother was a little naughty, since we all have completely different dominant DNA genes by the looks of it. So anyway, we took a DNA test and it came back that we all had the same father and mother >_>).
So yeah.. I'm not too bothered with the hair not changing. Maybe a little upset because it would look a tiny bit weird if you met other reletives, and they ALL had black hair while you had.. ginger for example, but I suppose I take me and my sisters as living proof that variety does not equal infidelity. >.>

Sure, it can happen, but it's weird of bioware to make your family match you somewhat but then make hair always black.

Regardless, SO excited for this feature. As awful as it sounds I may crank out a Hawk for each preset just to see Bethany and Carver before I actually even play.

On topic, this is a seriously cool feature. Talk about taking feedback from the first game and working wonders.

Speaking of resemblance, has it already been discussed how Hawke's mother (or whoever this girl is), looks a lot like Morrigan?
Holy crap, that does look like Morrigan, doesn't it? If it is her, then my theory could be right...
However, isn't it said in the game summary that the story takes place over a ten year period? And it looks like Hawke is already grown by the time they leave Lothering. So, maybe not.

One of my guesses was that it's one of Flemith's daughters, if there is any connection.

here's what we know:
her name is Leandra Hawke
before marrying "father" hawke, she was named Leandra Amell (related to the human mage origin warden from origins)
she was a noblewoman from kirkwall.

Edit: However I still find it weird to think that when I boot up the game Bethany, Carver and Leandra will all look potentially quite different, to what I expect them to look like based on pre-release material.

Huh, I recalled that they had said your family would change appearance based upon your own but had forgotten the quote in question and quite how much they change. Sometimes it's little details like this that make a good game, a great game. Especially nice to see it in DA2 where the devs have spoken about their desire to focus on family somewhat.

it still feels strange to say her name:P if only because my name is leandro:innocent:

That aside I don't really care what they look like as long as it isn't the weird "Adopted black Cousland white family" thing.

I know what you mean! Although when you reflect on it, it's almost stranger to keep calling her Momma Hawke.

to me the strangeness stems from the little fact that i share the male version of her name:lol:

Lol, you have me beat on the strangeness factor then. I just find it a little odd after having referred to her as Hawke's Mum etc. for so long!
