Fellow Magic lovers! Dragon age seems to offer an interesting look into the world of spell casting. Sure you could optimizing picking the best of all the spell sets but whats the fun in that?! I'm talking about specialization, class emulation, and possibly RPing!

So what magic domain are you sticking with? Primal? Creation? Spirit? Entropy?:wizard:

I was going to go with primal myself, being an old druid fan, but it was always for the buff/debuff magic! So I'm between spirit and entropy leaning on entropy!

I was thinking that a Spirit Healer/Blood Mage specializing in Spirit & Creation would make for an interesting character.

Other than that, I'd like to try out a pure Primal mage. Just because.

Entropy sounds like my cup of tea, with a consideration of the Lightning line from Primal.

It will depend on my mage's concept, but overall I think I like entropy the best.

Entropy does seem to be the way to go. Its kinda like you need at least two. Entropy and Primal damage while Spirit and Create support. Honestly I can see some good combos coming from that but none of them have Primal in them.

My character concept is a pretty hard core damage / debuff Arcane Warrior + Blood Mage. Because of that he'll go Fire and Lightning, pick up Walking Bomb and Mana Drain from the spirit tree, and Weakness from the Entropy tree.

Seems like a pretty fun / interesting combination. Drains the magic out of his enemies, infects them and reanimates them, and then blasts whoever is left in a storm of fiery wrath.

+1

My thoughts exactly...maybe a bit more into the Earth and Ice/Frost specialization...

Ha ha, my build takes 1 line from each of the schools...But now that I think about it the theme is actually a pretty consistent telekinetic feeling even though I picked powers for being good rather than fitting that theme.

If I were going to change it up and be focused on one school it'd probably be entropy, that's the one that looks the most "complete" as a school.

Entropy, mastering sleep/waking nightmare combos by lvl 8, then Death hex/Death cloud after that.

While intermittently putting points in frost so to have direct damage spells. for first levels, will go for winter grasp then vulnerability hex+mana and health drain.

How about a "Runemaster" build? Primarily Entropy Hexes & Creation Glyphs?
I'd probably go with Arcane Warrior/Blood Mage.

Primal for damage, Entropy for debuffs and crowd control, and creation for buffs and healing.

entropy, spirit for the animate dead or whatever it was, then whatever feels right (maybe some frost spells from primal), mostly going for necromancer feel (making a bloodmage).

Spirit for offense and crowd control. But I'm going to primarily be a healer, so that branch of Creation as well, and the spirit healer specialization branch

Primal for me, most likely, because I'm a straight-out blaster for the most part. The subtle stuff is often more effective in combination, but I can't be bothered.

Mostly Entropy spells plus the fire line from Primal and the heal line from Creation with the Spirit healer and Arcane warrior specialization. If I can get away with it roleplaying wise, perhaps Blood Mage instead of Arcane Warrior, but I'm not making any pacts with demons.

Flaming weapons on dual wielding rogues/warrios with momentum beating the crap out of a target hexed with vulnerability hex, affliction hex and death hex hmm... I need a tissue..
