I'm looking for information how to modify the coloring on when you push tab button ingame and it shows that glow around things placeables are cyan, hostile creatures red glowing and yourself white glowing

I could be wrong, but as far as I know, that's hardcoded into the game engine and can't be changed via standard custom content hijinks. There are however, a few people working at changing the code of the game engine itself, so maybe any of them will throw that kind of functionality in.

That is indeed hardcoded. The only option you have with regards to this glow is to turn it off (but only for creatures) in appearance.2da - which can be a nice feature if you're doing a horror themed mod or something. Doors and placeables will always glow regardless of what you do, unfortunately.
One (semi-relevant) thing you can do, though, is change what colour friendly or hostile traps appear in the game, which is a setting in the file nwnplayer.ini, which can be found in your root NWN directory. However this is something that has to be changed player-side, as the file also contains information likely to be specific to each user, including your unencoded passwords.
