I would like my character and potential LI to go on dates. And I want the dates to be the LI's idea, not my characters. Like this:

I wouldnt mind an "implied date" - a sort of fade to black then "that was fun I had a nice time" thing.

But fade to black is so boring! However, I wouldn't mind being able to escape past the scene if you don't want to watch it.

Frankly I think it would be funny if a Hawke that romanced Isabella caught her in the tent with Hawke's brother or sister.. Man that would make a pretty funny forum thread..

I'm all for ME1-styled romance scenes in DA2, since it was handled so well then and I'm sure it can be handled well now, especially with the improved graphics.

As for having children, it seems a bit... strange to me. I'm not sure how they'd handle that. They'd either have to make separate pregnant body models or let you magically have a child during one of the time jumps, which could be awkward.

If it is done, I'm confident they'd handle it well. But I don't see it being done at this point.

I'm personally hoping for altered dialogue with your LI during cutscenes/combat, and for people to react to you being with a pirate/mage/elf/dwarf, like I'd hoped for with ME2. (replace pirate, mage, elf and dwarf with quarian, turian, drell, crazed biotic and Cerberus operatives).

I was j/k at first, but the more I think about it, the more I like the idea. Jealousy/Unrequited Love Makes You Evil, after all...
There really aren't enough motivations to go beyond the moral event horizon in games like these.

I have nothing against gay love.. But I'm not ashamed to admit that if I found my sister having sex with my ex girlfriend I most CERTAINLY would not want to watch..
