So I recently got Dragon Age, about 2 months ago. Yet I put off playing it for a while, I still haven't finished it, but I know that I'll probably love it, but should I get the Signature Edition of Dragon Age 2? Will there be anything there that I won't be able to pick up later as DLC?

Preorder. You might as well not pay for it now instead of paying for it later. Even if you don't like Sebastion, you will recieve powerful items for free.

You could hold out for a possible Ultimate Edition, but who knows when that may be released.

There is no reason not to pre-order. You'll get stuff for free. If you don't you'll have to pay for it (Sebastian) or -possibly- be unable to get it (the other goodies). All legitimate retailers allow you to cancel a pre-order prior to shipping so there is no risk as well.

1) Go to Gamestop.

2) Pre-order and put $5 down towards the game.

3) If you decide later that you want to wait, return to Gamestop and reclaim your $5. If you decide that you don't want to wait, return to Gamestop and pay for the rest of the game when you pick it up.

You get free stuff by pre-ordering. Unless you plan on waiting 16-20 months for an Ultimate Edition, there's no reason not to.

You should definitely pre-order. I dont care for the announced character (Sebastian) but he and plenty of other stuff is all free, so if you're gonna get the game anyway, might as well preorder.

This.

I can't fathom why people get all worked up about pre-ordering (and the bonuses associated with them). You get nifty bonuses if you pre-order and you're under zero obligation to follow through on the pre-order if you decide you don't want the game afterall.

Just wait six months (or less) and DA2 will be on sale.

You'll be able to buy DA2 for half of its MSRP or so.

The bonus content isn't worth it imo.

People such as myself who still have quite a few questions and doubts about some of the features and would like to get a much broader opinion and more details that won't come out until after the game is released.

I'd pre-order. If you're worried about putting money down, there's always Amazon. They don't require any money up front (shipping for release day delivery is only .99 cents, at least where I live (North Texas)) and you can cancel anytime without being charged as long as the cancellation is done before the game is prepared for shipment.

Are you implying that DA2 is a bad game?

I preordered it, since there is no collector's edition. I enjoyed the first game for over 100 hours' gameplay, so it's still a good value to preorder.

From what I understand, Sebastian can be purchased as a DLC later on, however the extra weapons & arms (a staff, shield, sword & bow) only come with the Signature edition.  If you don't see much use for the extra weapons, my suggestion is to wait for the game to come out.  However if you are like me who likes to have all the shiny weapons ^_^ then pre-order.

I have pre-ordered (even before Sebastian came out) because

1.  I've always enjoyed the games that Bioware produces & I've never been disappointed in them.

2. The price between the Signature & Standard editions is the same, so why not just get the Signature one.

Hope that helps out.

Makes you wonder why he's on a forum for Dragon Age 2 in the first place :)

I would if I could!

I'll just have to wait for the Ultimate Edition when it's half off. :(
