As far a consols ruining gaming, they actually make game practical for many. I dropped $1500 on my computer 2 years ago and can't play new games anymore.I spent $300 on my Xbox 3 years ago then spent $50 to be able to connect to my wireless internet and I'll still be using it for atleast 2 more years.

I thought DA:O was an incredible game, and yes I'm a little annoyed at some of the changes that have been made. But I'm also excited for some of the others. For DA2 the designers are actually trying to make a different game, rather than sticking with a proven formula. Which is not a bad thing, if everyone stuck with what worked, America would never have been discovered. If people want a game experience identical to DA:O's, then play it again.



Going off topic. I'm not going to pass judgement on DA2 until the game has actually been released and garnered a few reviews. THEN I'll decide if getting the game is a waste or not.

Thats a year after its been released and all the dlc has come out.

No. I'm not going to waste it. That would imply that I don't deem it as a worthy purchase, which is not true. I plan on spending my money to purchase DA II and potentially the DLC that accompanies it. This is not a waste.

 Yes, because

a) I've never been disappointed in bioware's previous releases, so by just rudimentary logic (key word being rudimentary), I feel that DA2 will please me.

I buy Bioware games for the story content, memorable characters & the re-playability (is that even a word? sorry if it's not) of their games, not for the graphics.  Just like the primary reason I buy Final Fantasy games is for the graphics

I don't see purchasing the game as a waste. However, at this point, I still don't plan on buying it outright. My plan is still to rent it and if I enjoy it, to buy it then.
