I had a hard time choosing at first between Mario, Fallout and the Mass Effect series, but it is clear to me which one I like the most. I have about 8 saves (4 fem,4male) and I still can't get enough of Mass Effect. I can only hope they bring back the modifying of the weapons once again. I really missed that.

I just beat the game for the first time about a half an hour ago and I loved everything about it. The story, the graphics, the gameplay. I was a big fan of KOTOR, too. .

the only games i really play on a regular basis are rpg's. i'm a big fan of bethesda's rpg's as well, but the ME series is my favorite story/game, by far.

But yeah, truly the universe is well created and the story is extremely well written. Nostalgia will be in effect for many years.

This is a hard one for me because i've played so many games in my life.

I wouldn't know where to start.

Harvest Moon 64,Star Tropics,Zelda 1,2,3,4,5,

Super Black Bass,Castle Vania for super Nintendo,

Metroid for super Nintendo,

But i have a shrine so,it's a no go for me.

Never have truer words ever been spoken, I concur. I'm a huge Uncharted fan and theres a big gap between that series and my #3 series but theres an even bigger gap between ME and Uncharted. Without doubt the best game and possibly media in general I have ever experienced.

I am not surprised that you think Mass Effect is the best game ever, if you previously thought Half-Life 2 was the best you'd ever seen. There have been much better games than Mass Effect, but they're pretty old and the graphics especially have not aged well, and that puts a lot of people off.

Deus Ex and System Shock 2 are some of my favorites, but they often evoke a  response in younger gamers after just one look, and aren't given a chance.

well i would not say that its the best game i have ever played, bc i value different things in every game, depending on their game type.



I will say that it IS one of my favor games(both ME1 and 2) due to the nice mix of a cool story and a nice gameplay.

But i also LOVE oblivion due to the world "without rules" you play in. So many choices in Oblivion and a lot of freedom. Defo the game i have spend most time on(singleplayer games).

I also love CoD in the FPS spectrum of games, and WoW when we're talking MMO, looking forward to SW:TOR though =D



But ME is indeed oe of my favor games, and a true masterpiece in its genre.

Yeah,Oblivion would be on my list if it didn't have all the bugs that shut down 2 of my Xbox360's and one of my PS3's.
Still have it for PC but never got back into it.
And i like the Civilization games on PC as well.,can't forget those.
And don't forget Jurasic Park for the Super Nintendo.hahaha,I got to find the rest of the eggs damit.

GTA IV's Liberty City is the best gameworld - I have had so many memorable moments in the various MP modes, and made so many friends on XBL & GTAForums that it deserves a special mention.

As a single player game ME is the best.

KOTOR > ME2 >> ME1 (>>>>>>>> KOTOR2)

In terms of series however, yes, it IS one of the best. Though IMO best series ever: Metal Gear

I love me some Mass Effect as much as the next person, but ye shall not tarnish the sacred name of Half-Life. Valve are gods, descended from Paradiso to bless us unworthy with gaming perfection.



Anyway, ME2 was easily one of the best games I played last year, but last year also had Super Mario Galaxy 2, Bayonetta, Vanquish, Donkey Kong Country Returns, VVVVVV and a few others that I enjoyed just as much, and in some cases a wee bit more.

How do you know I don't like Mass Effect? Just because it's not in my top 10 doesn't mean I don't like it.

Because it's a true RPG, not a dumbed down Action RPG like ME, Oblivion, Fallout 3 or Fable.

You've never even played Dragon Age, have you? Even though IMO ME2>DAO>ME1, DAO's writing far exceeds ME's.

RPGs are games like KOTOR, Dragon Age, Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter Nights, Planescape: Torment etc.
Action RPGs are games like ME, Oblivion, Fallout 3, Fable, Alpha Protocol, Deus Ex, Jade Empire etc.

And KOTOR does have a lot of combat, just not the twitchy console type
