To elaborate on what I said in the Bi Anders thread, If "Anders" is infact actually Anders. I will not recruit him/kill him at earliest opportunity/ give him to the templars/ push him down rivalry/ tell him to sod off when ever he tries to talk to Hawke.

Especially considering that the mystery figure is very clearly wearing what looks to be the new interpretation of the tevinter mage robes. (ring closure, fur shoulders, cravat)

Given the way mages are treated in Thedas it seems unlikely a non-mage would kick back in a set of robes for fun.

And the man in the back is wearing something near-identical to Sebastian's armor, as well as carrying a bow.

 Yes, although I adored the Alistair romance, it's actually very reassuring to know that they might be moving away from that kind . Goofy and adorable is adorable... once. I'm hoping for.. you know... snarky and experienced instead this time around!

@Pseudocognition: Not so much because of confirmation but because he says nothing that would contradict Anders being in DA2.

If they were planning a sweet and innocent male lead that would completely rule him out but they're not, so he would seem to still be in the running.

Gaider's mention of bringing back popular characters they want to do more with could also very well mean him, since if you go by here, deviant art, fanfic.net, and other video game discussion sites he would seem to be the most popular character from Origins and the assorted expansions and DLCs after the four love interests.

@Annie_Dear : I'm betting anyone voicing a returning character was told to keep it quiet until it's been officially confirmed. Contracts and legal stuff, probably.

No, I don't want my dreams to be crushed. (I was being sarcastic using double negatives. Because I was an English major and we do stupid things like that and my attempts at humor fail after one in the morning. )

Yeah, I'm pretty close to positive it's Anders. And nothing in the article changed that, really... he didn't say anything to make it MORE likely, but he didn't say anything that would seem to contradict the appearance of Anders as a companion.
Even if he isn't a companion (although I really hope he is), there's no way the guy in the video is anyone BUT Anders.
