In that video, it does look a tiny bit like PC Anders (who looks really weird.. I prefer xbox Anders!)

I thought Orsino was an elf? With a 3 headed staff - kinda looks like them statues in Vigil's keep basement?

Anders made me laugh whenever he spoke, so I hope he at least has a cameo

Okay, I decided to do a side-by-side comparison shot between "Anders" and Anders. Why? Well, I'm bored as hell and needed a break after finishing Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood (the ending... omg... I can't...). I tried to find a picture of Anders in a similar position (head-wise) as "Anders." After a half hour or so of searching, this is the closest I've been able to find (I thank the lovely folks over at Anders' thread for sharing the pic). Don't worry, Anders. We still think you're cute, even with your mouth open! Heck, especially then! Yeah, if it wasn't obvious before, I do need to get out more. I hear Tahiti's nice this time of year. Anyway, to the pics.

In the shot of "Anders," you can just make out a high collar, which is also seen on the unidentified human male mage in Cassandra's book (refer to image #3). You can also see that "Anders" does appear to have bangs. They're not really visible on the right, but much more visible on the left of his forehead, our right when viewing the pic. He also seems to have light facial scruff, which is obvious with the slight shadowing around the cheeks, jaw, and chin. Also, it might just be my eyes playing tricks on me, but it almost looks like "Anders" is sporting an earring in his left ear (our right when viewing the pic). Here, I've included a bigger image sharpened to all hell with an arrow for somewhat easier spotting:



The next paragraph is pure speculation on the belief that that IS an earring. With that said, it appears it is in the opposite ear where Anders has his. Makes me wonder if Anders has both ears pierced, but in DAA only wore an earring in his right ear, but for DA2 (if this IS Anders, mind you) decided to wear one in his left. I have another idea, but just so you know, it's truly "out there." What if the part of the video where "Anders" is shown has been flipped? If true, reflipping it would show the earring to be in the right ear, like Anders'.

Ugh, I hate when I get like this and start overanalysing and overspeculating things to death. Well, at least there's no harm in it, right? *looks at the clock* 'Tis a bit early, but I'm quite tired, so am going to call it a night. *yawns* As always, thoughts on my thoughts are most welcome.

The sharpened image looks A LOT more like him than I thought it did at first. A lot. The nose especially (I have a total obsession with Anders' nose).



And I have NO problem with you overanalysing things when it comes to possible Anderses. Mind you, I'm still totally freaked out by the way it looks like that arm is coming out of his neck .

I am, if anything, more sure we will see Anders in DA2.  And thrilled for it!
(I don't care if it's blatant fanservice for us Anders thread fangirls.  I'll accept it happily!)
Further point of 'proof.' If you pull back on the Anders picture I think what he's wearing definitely looks like a revamp of the Tevinter robes. (edit to include the first random pic of the DAO version I could find)

Fur shoulders
Ring at middle involved in some kind of absurd fastening mechanism
clearly two layers- and the bottom is also tattered at the hem like in DA:O
Covered in buckles and so on.
And, from your close ups, it looks like they kept the pale colored "cravat" detailing.

I thought it was Sebastian =/ maybe when you first meet him when hes in his civvys, if it was Anders wouldn't he have a staff?

There are about fifty templars wondering around in that screenshot (I know I'm exaggerating) so if I was apostate!Anders I would have left my staff at home

The simple fact that he has a gaudy earring like Anders is almost Anders proof in itself. Since videos and images are flipped all the time in advertisement.

My only hope is the picture in the book not looking like him. He clearly has some side bangs going on, which Anders does not have. I'm also hoping that that avatar we're disecting looks about as accurate to the final product as Fenris' did. The weird elf guy turned into a stud overnight, and seeing the old model makes me frown. So I fully trust there is a lot of cosmetic work left for the guy. And he might just be sporting "generic" at the moment.

I don't think so... If you look at the full screenshot I believe that's Sebastian between Isabella and Varric.

I don't think so... If you look at the full screenshot I believe that's Sebastian between Isabella and Varric.

EDIT: the character between Varric and Isabella looks a lot darker than Sebastian (unless its my computer being meh), I'm still pretty convinced that that its Seb and not Anders lol, I don't know though its pretty hard to tell =/

Nah I joke, I think its when you first meet him, maybe after hes just de-priested (thought the exert from the DLC would disagree with me).

Also who says there mage robes  they could be casual evening wear, also if there was templars about Anders would still have his staff as hes a grey warden, so they can't arrest him. Also I remember many threads ago someone mentioning that grey wardens wouldn't be IN the game so to speak, by that I mean theres mention of them etc. but they wouldn't have a specific character (forgive me if I'm wrong about that, I've had a drink since then lol) again its all very speculative.

Probably not, but if it is Anders, I don't think I would mind. I like him so far in Awakenings, but I don't know how I would feel about him being in DA2. It all depends on why he's there, I guess.

I'm wondering if Anders does come into the game as a companion if he'll be a Grey Warden or not. It probably wouldn't be a massive plot device but it would be neat if he was.
