Ahem. Okay fangirl moment over let's get to serious discussion. I have to say I'm so glad that Carver doesn't sound as derpy as I thought he would, but to be fair I was expecting that. And the friction there between warrior Carver and Mage Hawke, very nice.

Yep Carver actually came across much better in this vid. I feel much better about having to take him in a mage play through now.

Yeah my mage playthrough was going to be my third run, but I think I'm going to bump it up to second (rouge is always 1st) because Carver's apperance in the vid made me want to play through that interaction. Sibling rivalry FTW!

Well she may look young but those long lived elves, you just never know.

 as far as her bust size, I think in this screen what makes it seem out of place is her shoulders are too narrow, just look fromt he shoulders up her head looks like it is too large for them. if the shoulders looked a bit wider would make her breast size look smaller. if this is an bad angle or the character model, is the question.

I am disappoint at all the support for Hawke's VA. He sounds like a Monty Python reject. The more I learn about this game, the less happy I am. How much great character banter is now gone because of 2 fully voiced MCs? That change was completely unnecessary. I think you are panicking for no reason good sir. Character banter should be better now. You never had a hard time discering how a line was going to be said by your character in Origins? It should have MORE epicness, It's like there was any sort of universal chronology in Origins anyways. Who ever confirmed it's length?

BioWare has gone on record saying DA2 now matches ME2 in length, give or take. It's funny, one of the compliments I had about DA:O was how it bucked the trend of "casualising" games. It was old school and I liked it. Huge, epic world waiting to be explored. Then BioWare steps in and tosses that out the window and goes all God of Dragon Age on me to bring in the ADD crowd. I'll probably still get it, but I don't like the changes. I hope playing the actual game changes my mind and it's not as bad as it seems.

Her hairstyle is awesome³. I want it for my female Hawke.

One thing that was disappointing, is, that we didn't see female Hawke in action.

I kinda like the new elves look except her ridiculously huge rack. But I count on Mr. Gaider's post.

Surprisingly I also thought that Carver's VO was really good, a lot better than Hawke's.



And Merril is indeed very cute, but it's a child's cute so her being a LI is kinda weird.

I think part of it is that she slants her shoulders back in that shot too. Makes her look thinner as well as more busty.

Edit: As for height, she is walking up a hill.

Exactly, although there is a slight curve. No one seems to have taken any notice of the lighting when talking about her chest. I don't think she looks that young apart from her lack of size. But very alien. The harry potter house elf some one mentioned sprang to my mind as well. 

Merill must be the only character I didn't really like from the video, all the others (male hawke, isabella, varric, cassandra, carver) look very well done.

Yep, I second that. After a negative comment about Merrill, I'd like to add something positive as well, Cassandra is very well done, impressive, intimidating, beautifull - great work.

Awesome diary! I'm now officially an utter fan of Hawke's voice. To me it just screams perfection. It really has power behind it and I feel it fits the style of the character superbly. I really don't have the words to describe how glad I am about his voice! Carver sounds great as well, thus I'm already sad that I wont be able to get him along on my first playthrough since I'll be playing the warrior. :/

Merryll seemed very cute, I didn't mind her at all, though we got hardly a glimpse of her. Now I'm Wondering if it is indeed Anders who is going to be the vanilla companion - I would not mind that at all. My most anticipated game just got even more so!

Yeah, Merrill looks too young. Its just creepy, especially if she ends up an LI- she was clearly an adult elven woman in Origins but now its like she's a little kid.

haha, your correct she is everywhere, you just know playing through the story she'll appear at every major point in the game never ageing, then when the final credits role down once you've beaten the game and your thinking *don't click anything there might be a bonus scene at the end of the credits!* she'll be there...!
