Varric: I'm waiting for the right lady, okay?

How do you even know she said the "virginal" line about Merrill?
I mean, I guess we don't but you can't really use that word to describe Isabela. Or Aveline. And it wouldn't apply to Bethany since she's off-limits. So by process of elimination I'm not seeing too many other candidates.

Don't know if anyone mentioned this but Carver's look in armor (around 1:16) and his VA seem to break the derp image.

I almost did. Made extra funny by reading the last line in a Napoleon Dynamite voice.

Pertaining to the male/female criticism theme, I find it odd that no poster has expressed concern over the girth of Hawke & Carver's arms. They make me uncomfortable with my masculinity, accentuate the clash between Carver's cute bunny face and Man's Man voice, and frankly, will drive me to cancel my preorder out of righteous scorn.
Well, they are too big. But, men like that in general. Men also like the big breasts in general too.
Neither are realistic, if you were looking for some realism. Many aren't, so its all good. People are free to decide what is important and what are game breakers for them. The lack of quality skins on the main characters is important to me, because I texture. Writing is also important to me (about the game) but I have absolute faith in Bioware about that aspect.
ymmv of course.

Of course then I remember they are evil soul sucking vampires who feast upon our misery and sorrow and then I go back to staring at my calendar.

Isabella, Aveline, Fenris, Cassandra, Varric, Bethany.. all look awesome.
Kirkwall looks great.
Seems the romance scenes won't be terribly embarrassing like in DA:O
Graphics and art style are very nice now.
Dislikes:
Default Hawke looks like a bum, not too sure on the voice yet.. he sounded very weird saying "Been a while.. hasn't it?" but sounded great with the cake bit.
Mage robes make him look like even more of a bum. I thought they were going to be improved?
Merril looks really creepy.
Carver looks and sounds more annoying than any other character I've seen in DA. He will die asap in my playthroughs.
The music sounds really generic.
Overall a good video.. raised my interest in the game significantly, even with all my nitpicks.

I read through this whole thread and could only face_palm how annoying some people here are. It almost makes me feel sorry for the devs since every five seconds people are begging for more information and then when something new comes out, they complain nonstop at the most trivial/nonsensical things.

Weird, the consensus seems to be that this vid has made Carver a much more viable and interesting character.

That's okay. I virtually guarantee that on other forums there are attacks made that are much more personal. Oh, hell, there's nothing virtual about it. They are; the only question is how long until someone calls one of us a drooling moron. (Typically, it's me, and it's about 10 posts)
So, thanks for keeping it reasonable, folks! Oh, and glad to see a lot of enjoyed this look. Our marketing team have done a great job putting these making-of pieces together. I just wish that I could slide in from offscreen and deploy sound bites in tandem with Dave, Mark and Jennifer as part of my everyday routine.

Actually, I have, several times. A character gets flamed for being skinny yet all the others being on steroids is taken for granted.

Merrill looked really thin though. Maybe the Dalish aren't eating in protest or something? I like the new art style though. I actually can't wait. I might hibernate for the rest of winter and wake up on March 11th

Although a little bothered that we still don't know what female Hawke sounds like, nor is there any real hints (minus fan speculation) on any LI's for her.
