True. Everyone should go take a look at the histrionics taking place on TES V: Skyrim's forums. I've never seen so many people angrily insult developers and announce their intent to boycott the game due to the way leveling is being implemented, or they perceive it is being implemented (which is more accurate, because almost nothing has been detailed). "OMG F-Bethesda Stoorpid Dumbassthes level scaling just care about the money and it'll be buggy and SUCK and oblivion was a ****ty game breton no guns fallout eech Bethesda Sucks!"

I much prefer this place. Also, the Dev presence is unique, and very much appreciated.

Huh.  I've been in Beth's forums a lot lately and have seen mostly positive reaction to the game overall.  I must have not been in the right- or wrong- threads.  But it doesn't take long in other gaming forums to appreciate the relative saneness and maturity of BSN, especially the DA boards.

Not one quite like that. It just caught me off gaurd with the mental image it created against my will.

Yeah, I completely agree. The Dev presence is something really special and keeps me coming back here. Bethesda feels sort of... lifeless.

That was entertaining. It kept me busy for 5 mins until the game comes out.I was sort of disappointed with not being able to hear Fenris' voice and I also like Hawke's voice.

Do want. NOW.

Wow, that video looks good and I am totally intrigued with the way the devs are going with the Dragon Age arc as a whole.

Also, can totally tell you right now that my first playthrough - female rogue Hawke - is totally going to be BFFs with Varric. Posted Image

Liking how the relationships with companions and NPCs are growing... I'm very excited to check out this new rivalry-friendship system and the evolution of the potential romances.

Is it okay to officially say that I am putting in a request for vacation time off work just to play this game when it comes out? Posted Image

I think Cassandra should be careful with how rough she handles Varric or she'll feel the wrath of some very terrifing fan girls :o...just saying

It's entirely possible the Original Posters have an undue influence on what seems like the overall tone of the board, like 3 angry loud guys at the back of a town hall meeting. At least those posts (like some here, usually about left-field romance requests or condemnation of graphics) filter on down the page into oblivion* at a reliable rate. Haters gonna hate!

I agree. It's sad when certain people on this forum post that Bioware and it's games should be just like Bethesda.

I think everyone who's played an open world game would like one without a ****ty engine and that wasn't a buggy piece of ****.

Ok, Oblivion wasn't a piece of ****, but it was buggy.

There seems to be two elven party members. To keep proper balance, we need another Dwarf.
I'd ask for Sigrun, but I'd say that's too much.

Cassandra and Isabela both look really sexy. Varric sounds great (it’s so good that he narrates the story), and I’m pleasantly surprised by Hawke’s voice. Now I only need to heard Lady Hawke. I'm so curious how she sounds.

I must say I’m really enthusiastic about main character having family and relationships that develop through ten years.

Craver really grew on me, this is tough, as I planned to play rouge in my first playthrough. Funny, I always played mages until DAO, and now I find it hard to abandon my rouge.

And Merrill… there need to be more images of her. Playing Dalish Warden I guess it will take time for me to get used to this new look.

Great video! Can’t wait to play the game.

Graphics still look sub-par...not a very big leap from DA:O. The rest looks pretty good though. I'm still very much on the fence about this game.

Same here. Isabela too. I already liked Isabela but I'd been pretty ambivalent about Aveline up to this point - now I'm really interested in her too. She has a great voice.

I almost hope that the little elf 'woman' there isn't an LI (and there seems to be a chance of that since Mr. Gaider implied in the Merrill thread that the "virginal girl-next-door" is not necessarily that particular elf, it could be someone else entirely). I say this because she looks so child-like, and I think she'd make a very awkward pairing with the very grown up looking male Hawke.

Anyways great video, devs! Next time please let us hear Fenris' voice! :D

Not being able to hear Fenris' voice pissed me off, but I was more than happy to learn more about the story of Dragon Age 2. I'm still not keen on Hawke's voice, but I have a feeling based off of earlier comments that it's not the only voice for Hawke.

How do you even know she said the "virginal" line about Merrill?

Aveline was married... and Isabella well...  I don't think that word has applied to her for a very long time.

Maybe it's Fenris. I mean, he has no memory... if you don't remember doing it, that would make you sort of virginal, wouldn't it?

Wow, I never thought of it before, but it could be the case. It would be interesting to see a virgin (whether assumed or actual) who wasn't goofy and sweet like Alistair, but rather, tenacious and fierce with hesitance rather than nerves about being with somebody. That could describe Sebastian, too, though, I guess--if he was a younger son and hooked up with the Chantry, it may be that he's never been with anyone. Anders--Anders I think has definitely had sex a few times before, assuming he's a companion. And though the idea of Varric is interesting, I doubt it. He's far too charming to not have slept with someone.

Fenris and Sebastian, however, I could see it being about either or even both. Doubtfully both, but you never know.

In regards to Fenris, I never thought of it that way, but now that you mention it it does make sense. If you can't remember doing the deed I suppose you would retain some sort of 'mental virginity.' I can't really see him being a 'girl-next-door' type of elf, though. Pretty sure they were referring to Merrill. Never the less, it should be interesting to see how it plays out, assuming he is even a 'LI.'

This is silly, but I'm wondering if you were to play as Lady Hawke and romance Isabella, do you still think she would literally jump you like that? Perhaps the other way around? Inquiring minds want to know.
