Ah so you admit to fabricating BS to make yourself sound better? Understood.

What the hell are you talking about? What did I fabricate? I noticed an irrational and overly emotional hatred directed toward a couple characters based solely on their breast size. I called it out for being moronic and I stand by that assertion. I can't even begin to understand what I would 'fabricate' to 'make myself sound better.' Better than what? And what exactly am I recovering from?

I agree with Pwnsaur on this issue pretty well 100%.

Here is an uncommon opinion: I liked everything they showed to us. Even the weird lady and her clones in the background had their charm, but they are probably just placeholders.

"1. A healthy dose of bodily realism for human women, at least.
2. A sense of variety."

I expect a new and vigourous amount of outrage over the generic arms of Hawke and Carver and all the male characters.  I mean come on how many men realllllly have such well built arms.  Then we have the face realism.  Not too many people complaining about how pretty the female characters faces are, another physical trait.

Hmmm no one complaining about the size of Cassandras chest or Avelines chest, yes they are in armour.

Edit:  Oh, and everyone should just ignore that putz ******, undoubtably a refuge from the Codex.  Yes, yes we know Fallout 1 and 2 and PST are the grail of rpgs and all else fails, we know this already.

actually on both the face and chest thing, there has been a ton of complaints, you just need to go into the respective fan threads or the romance threads. there's plenty of hate to go around - more than what the male npcs get i dare say.

I've seen tons of complaints about chest size.  I've seen almost zero about how overly pretty the faces are, to the contrary complaints I've seen regarding faces are they are not good looking enough.   People should be lobbying for less attractive faces for companions or at least some of them.

well they aren't going to be complaining that a face is overly pretty if they don't like the face

Just watched the video and DA2 is finally starting to look more appealing to me after the initial disappointment at the direction they are taking the franchise. Now only if someone would confirm whether we will be given a updated toolset with DA2 resources then I can safely press that pre-order button. On a side note, I'm pretty sure that DA2 is not the first interactive frame narrative. Most recently Alpha Protocol had a similiar framed narrative structure and I'm sure there are more in the past.

Splinter Cell: Conviction too, but that was rubbish.

A good video, thank you.

Love all the revelation, and that was the first I heard of Merrill. Teeny cute elf romance is back in, and this time it looks like she doens't have clipped wings. :)

A note on how young and tiny she looks, beyond what was stated by devs about her being normal size for an elf (perspective is playing tricks with us, apparently): keep in mind that even IF she was underaged in that screenshot, it is important to remember that the game takes place over 10 years. It is quite possible we meet her while she's underage (but doubtful, given the aforementioned dev comment), and the romance develops several years later once she's "eligible".

Indeed, odds are all the romances will take several years to develop, given the game's timespan.

And yes, this includes Isabella. While I'm sure anyone interested can bed her practically on first sight, an actual romantic relationship with her will likely take many years to develop (before she develops genuine love for Hawke, that is).

Merrill looks adorable! The tattoos make it look like she has a dirty face, but adorable all the same!

Also, excited about the jealous and annoyed Carver. How he should be. Wonder what'd be like with Bethany though, unless you side with templars, what would she moan about?

You stated she is jailbait. I hardly call that just stating your opinion, it was meant to be inflammatory.

Good to know you can read my mind and magically know what my opinion is and what is inflammatory. There is no point in talking with you. This conversation is over.

ugh...they actually hire VA from a specific area they wish to have an accent from :?

so it's not really an "accent" or a fake/pretend voice, that's how they normally speak.

kind of like how people were ragging on Leli's "fake" accent when the VA is actually from Paris...

Ok, Im gonna start right here...First, I agree with everything you have said about #1. #2 ROTFLMAOOOOOOO, this pleases me as well.

Now, on top... LOVE the new dev diary release and the conformation of Merril as a companion( will NOT comment further on her appearance UNTIL I see a companion UPDATE on the DA2 website). The graphics looks pretty good to me...though I can see where people may think that it is still an older build...the thought did cross my mind as well. The scene where we hear Hawke's voice was rather hilarious( meaning the dialog n writing seem to be there usual Bioware type quality)...his voice was okay...I can work with it and it has been growing on me since yesturday. The other scene of note for me with Isabela...I am SOOOOOOOOOO picking the "why not?" option in the dialog wheel just to see where things lead from there:devil:. I also liked what I heard of Aveline's voice...and look of her 2nd different/unique armor shown in the game(wonders why noone else besides Hawke( whose different armor looked like some of the basic armor available in origins from what I can tell especially the silver looking splintmail set he had as a warrior.) has been shown in different armor). The Carver scene was pretty interesting as well though my mage runthrough will still be third and he will still be involved in roughly 1/3 or less of my playthroughs of the game but atleast the derpy sort of personality he has been accused of having is slowing fading from my mind... No comment on the Fenris part( though I did like the 'angry' Fenris scene) , atleast the him not speaking...it seems keeping his voice, Merril's, Bethany's and LadyHawke's voice are the big guns Bioware or SOMEONE is holding back and out on us...

Last but definetely NOT least, LOVE Cassandra in the black hair appearance as opposed to the white haired version, though she was looking rather hot either way and also love the scene with her where she calles Varric out on his embellishment of Hawke's story... All in all, I would say that I am DAMN glad I preorderd the signature edition of this game back in October. ;)

You do realise that Hawke's accent is, y'know, British? As much as you may or may not like it, it doesn't make it less "authentically" so.

He did the voices, I believe, of both Vaughan and Ser Bryant in the original DA:O

I think what you are hearing is a "neutral" tone which, actually, is the one reason I dislike hearing my characters voice. I rarely RP a neutral character so it rarely fits.  Still, he is an awesome VA, just not sure neutrality is anyone actors strong suit.  Even book narration gets to have a bit more inflection. :)

I really liked Ser Bryant and he was fantastic as Vaughan!

Video is an scene from DA:O so if you don't like that, and don't want to know, don't click. :)
Vaughan clip

I simply wanted Simon Templeman to do him.  His voice just makes everything better.  lol

No they are complainging that they want the face to be prettier, more handsome.  As in picking out one physical feature and zeroing in on it.  Much like the breast size issue.

Bah BioWare is only producing women with huge breasts!  This is a terrible thing.....but I want my romance interest to look handsome and or pretty!

Well Hawke is the champion of Kirkwall, he obviously has to train a lot if he wants to fight baddies. Or else he will just get owned by Qunari.

Not everyone likes big breast though or think they are pretty/sexy? There's that opinion but I think they just want females to also look less sexualized and large breast with stick thin arms is a pretty good example of that.

The reason while dwarven girls are hailed as beautiful and gorgeous by the community is because they actually look normal and not like an anime character, methinks. It's not so much as make them less pretty as make them less of a sexual object.

Yeah, I think it's just player voice.  I hate player VO but neutral is better than having it stand out.  The PC can blend into the landscape and be just another figure, as in ME where I thought the NPCs were more interesting than Shepard.

Varric sounds great, best VO of the clip.  Boohoo on not hearing Fenris!  I am starting to look forward to his character more.  Gaider elf, gotta be some good things there.

I like the architectural details and the movement of objects.  Some of the gestures looked stilted, but that might be fixed.  Others look more natural, like Isabela trying to get her wedgie out (lol).
