Sorry, it had to been said like billion of times over the years of Bioware existance now but...

They
narrowed your character creation to make a deeper, more complex story.
They may have made only 6 companions but by doing it could concentrate
more on them - hence more than one quest per companion and prolly even
more goodies we are yet to see.

What was shown in the video looks good, unfinished, but good all the same it was nice to hear more about the story and get a bit of a feel for some of the characters. I can sympathize with Merrill, i'm almost twenty-two but don't look it(I get offered the kids menu, I.D'd buying 17+ movies/games) so it doesn't bother me that she looks so young. I'm a bit on the fence about Male Hawke's V.O but I can pretty much guarantee I won't be using him as my first playthrough so I'm not overly bothered by it. Overall I still feel confident about pre-ordering the game and look forward to learning more.





Sidenote: Have these developer Diaries replaced the podcasts?

He did the voices, I believe, of both Vaughan and Ser Bryant in the original DA:O

I think what you are hearing is a "neutral" tone which, actually, is the one reason I dislike hearing my characters voice. I rarely RP a neutral character so it rarely fits.  Still, he is an awesome VA, just not sure neutrality is anyone actors strong suit.  Even book narration gets to have a bit more inflection.  

I really liked Ser Bryant and he was fantastic as Vaughan!

I like Hawke's voice very much actually, he sounds intelligent and somehow pleasant for my ears. But I was hoping to hear some female Hawke as well.
Anyway, while watching those videos you linked I found this:  check this out, a woman who was playing has such a nice voice, especially later in the video! I'd sooo like a similar voice for my femHawke, what do you think?

I mean SERIOUSLY from our perspective... how you can NOT choose the option in the dialog wheel of 'why not?'. Especially when they are showing it off like they are...though of course she could pull a Morrigan, and just acting all fussy about the whole thing... I remember having to wear Morrigan down quite a bit in conversations after bedding her...

For some weird reason, I think Fenris is going to have a slightly gravelly voice, but not in an annoying way, if you know what I mean. And it seems Bethany and Isabela have swapped... lady chests. And I'm glad Isabela's face is fixed. Aveline is too freckle-y. I've got freckles, but it's not that bad, just glad they're quite faint. Fenris looks cool. I really like his tattoos... still. Despite hating tattoos.

Why does everyone hate Hawke's VA? I think his voice is good, definitely not what I expected but not bad. I actually wanted a gruff voice for Hawke. Something like Costas Mandylor's voice, it's teh sex. But honestly, almost any kind of voice is better than none.

Hawke's and Isabela's relationship should be fun.

I hope all human males don't have the same body type. All mages shouldn't be as buff as warriors.

Just speculating here but in the video there was a part with Fenris and Isabela together... did they look as if there was tension between them maybe?

I think you mean Aveline, not Isabela. Could be - impossible to tell what they were saying to each other, but it did look something like an argument - Fenris pounding on the table, Aveline getting up from her chair. There could be some sort of personality disagreement between them. Interesting to note, however, that Hawke doesn't seem to be there for it.

Maybe, being a templar's wife, Aveline has stronger links to the chantry than average. And maybe Fenris has some issues with the chantry due to their control of the lyrium trade. (Or maybe Aveline's opinion of templar use of lyrium annoys Fenris?)

cut scenes of party interaction would be really nice... if i remember correctly there were some of those in NWN 2

As expected, Aveline looks and sounds wonderful! For a second I too thought the vid hinted at a possible romance with her, but maybe that's just wishful thinking on my end, time will tell. Now if only we can get some female Hawke vids and finally get to hear her i'll be set. Other than that, awesome vid Bioware!

I really liked the trailer, Hawke's voice was awesome and the graphics look really improved.

Had 2 issues, one of which is the Merrill thing, which has already deen done to death so I'm just gonna say I hope they make her look less underage...

And also, I think that In Varric's lines they really overuse the word champion, something I've noticed in every trailer so far is how they keep on saying it, it just annoys me for some reason haha

MaleHawkes walk is kinda silly with that sexy swinging of his hips. Its looks way too feminine for someone who is supposed to be a badass or, you know, a man. "Check me out, i'm so cool, with my bland, emotionless voice, and my sexy little hips. *giggle*" Sorry, but i crack up whenever Malehawke walks in that video. The girls walk the same way though.
