She probably not going to romance option, but I hope she will be.
But Merrril is not bad either.

interesting quote:
"I did meet a charmer named Varric though, who had some of the best dialogue I witnessed in the game; luckily he also became my first companion. Bodahn and Sandal ("Enchantment?") can be found in Kirkwall, where they reside, but perhaps a lust for adventure will make them leave their home at some point?"
copying my posts are we?
Yesh haha its interesting

What struck me was the claim that Hawke is supposed to be that tough, "do-whatever-it-takes" kind of guy and then they present him, attempting a joke, which not only feels forced but makes him sound like a complete wuss. The writer's should really watch some Clint Eastwood movies or something, because what we've seen to date make an impression of an epic fail at memorable a tough character. It's even weirder when you consider that some of ME's best dialogues were the "renegade" options.
And then there's the romance dialogue: "wait. you're not thinking of bringing feelings into this... (surprised) are you?" Three words: cheesy as hell. Fourth: again. Again, cause we've seen that already in DA. Mass Effect 2 (not to mention e.g. Planescape:Torment...) did so much better when it comes to romantic plots and dialogues that it makes me wonder why it seems that BW repeats the mistakes of DA in DA2 :/

The framed narrative is a nice touch, even though they just copied the idea from Alpha Protocol.
According to Mike Laidlaw, they copied it from the Usual Suspects.

Also AP was actually a trully interactive frame narrative, since you simultaneously make choices in the main story and in the interrogation that serves as the frame, which both have consequences when the story catches up with the interrogation. Kind of doubtful if we see something like that in DA but it's nice to see something new in the standard recyclable BioWare story.
Oh yeah like AP invented framed narratives.

Cassandra would be my first choice for LI, just because I find her so attractive for some reason. Maybe it's the willingness to stab Varric to get him to do what she wants. Maybe it's her uncanny resemblance to MorriganTTTX wrote...

I think the point was that contrary to the Dev Diary, DA2 wont be the first interactive framed narrative.Morroian wrote...

But did any of them look about twelve? The fact that she's a romance I find really disturbing.
Agreed.
Based only on that brief appearance she looks very child-like. If that is how she will appear in game I hope she isn't romanceable. Otherwise I'd be questioning whether those that do romance her with their Hawke, are also pedophiles.

Going even further, AP was originally set to be released in October of 2009. Yes, Origins was released an entire month earlier, but I highly doubt that DA2's story, entire plot, and story structure revolved around waiting to see what Obsidian was doing that day.

Apparently, you haven't subscribed to play DC Universe online. The woman of Thedas are lacking in this department compared to the gals in this new game. My eyes about popped out of my head and I started laughing because of folks complaining about the gals in DA2.

Flemeth saves Hawk,
Hawk accepts a quest from Flemeth,
Flemeth goes his shack,
Warden slays Flemeth,
Hawk wait for months for Flemeth,
Still no sign of Flemeth then quest fails,
Hawk bored to death,
Game over.

No, they only advertised like it was "the new ****". Which it isn't.
I can easily see them ripping off Obsidian's ideas, considering that every time Obsidian does a continuation of their (or Bethesda's) game, it has a more interesting plot and better written dialogues. Obsidian excels at story and narration (and fails at most other things) and BioWare can, at best, try to emulate their ways.Bryy_Miller wrote...

And it's not that they had to sit around too much waiting for Alpha Protocol: they probably just use their usual story and added frame narration to spice it up and hide the fact that they're selling the same old story for the n-th time.

While I agree that Obsidian is great with story and dialogue, and not much else, to say Bioware stole the idea is not likely. They were working on DA2 before Alpha protocol was even released, before DA:O was even released.

I really look forward to playing the game with VA, have played DA:O several times with different wardens and then one run on ME:2. I liked ME but I love DA:O and keep coming back to it. However one thing that really stuck with me from my single ME try was how much more involved I felt with the VA. This is exactly what I wanted
Last night I believe that I read on a thread somewhere that they would show us something more of F!Hawke soon. That might just have been wishful thinking on my part but here's keeping my fingers crossed. I played the demo at gamex in Stockholm and I think she was beautiful and I really liked the voice. Now it's been a while since gamex so I'm ready for a new dose of fearless female Hawe.

Ya know what? Now I really wanna get a taste of fem Hawke's voice.
Regarding Shepard
The thing about Hale is that it just seems that way because Meer is very neutral in his voice, which I think was perfect for the role.

Great sig, though!
*And I agree, heh, 3 slots are definitely NOT enough!
BTW, falloutseriesfan, the two sigbars don't fit well together. The white part from the upper sigbar looks as if it splits the British sniper's head. My suggestion is move the upper sigbar a little to the right using grey colored underscores "_".
