Anyhow, I think the graphics look lovely. That chandelier we saw at 1:30 really caught my eye. The skin textures seem to be improved--Hawke's face at :42 looks a tad more realistic (I'm a bit bothered by the clipping of Leandra's hand into Hawke's foot). I still see the shiny plastic skin elsewhere, but it seems to be a WIP, which is great.

Isabela's super yellow necklace looks a bit more metal now--also nice. Hawke's voice is really growing on me. Carver's exaggerated armor looks nice.

Also, on a super petty please don't hold it against me I love everything else note, we now know of two male LIs, and no female's. Not that this is a big issue, but any information on that front would be appreciated some time in the days to come before release.

I thought she meant LIs for male Hawkes.

I thought she meant LI's for female Hawke. Isabella is pretty confirmed by the last video. But I don't think Merrill is confirmed as a LI, but I didn't understan well that part in the video, so I'm not sure

at 3:31 we see yet another outfit for aveline, this one looks like the warden's commander lookalike armor hawke was seen wearing in screenshots, my guesses are:



1-she becomes a grey warden



2- that armor is the city captain's armor and not a warden's armor though the symbol is similar (i'm riding on this one)

Ok whew. Now that I've calmed down a bit I'm going to complain a little bit about the total lack of Female Hawke, her VO and her love interests. I really hope we FemHawke players get thrown a bone sometime soon.



But I love Male Hawke's voice. LOVE. And Isabela is looking beautiful. I'll reserve my opinion of Merrill's model since there's not really much to go on in this vid, but first impression was "cute".

• Loved Hawke's voice, not the usual stereotypical voice. The cake line made me laugh a lot, thank you writers and voice actor (*cough*Boulton*cough*).
• Carver and Isabela's voices were awesome too.
• Carver looks and sounds less derpy than imagined and it has shattered my reality, I'll need a few years to recover.
• I like Merril's new look, the elves actually don't look like humans now and it pleases me because I'm tired of the fantasy trope that elves are super sexualized humans made to please people.
• The cinematic approach payed off, I think. The cutscenes look glorious and vastly improved over puppet head theatre.
• More Varric is always perfect.
• Hawke's facial hair looks glorious.
• Angry Fenris is angry.

It's a single picture of Merrill. Remeber when we saw the first pic of Isabela and a lot of people said that she was ugly? Well, now she looks really pretty. I'm not going to say a single thing on Merrill's eyes or body until I'll see her in the game.

But Sheppard's VO lacked emotion, it was like listening to a robot no matter what was being said, and it didn't fit the default look of shep at ALL. This new fellow however is a good fit.

I thought they mentioned that the screenshot of Isabela had a rather bad angle.
But if they did change her because of complaints, I do wonder why they ignored the issues some people had with too large breasts.

Actually, I do not, but it is fun to ask rhetorical questions. But bitter comments like these are useless, especially without knowing what actually is going on behind the scenes.

Meer's voice sounded like a robot true, but a robot struggling to sound human.

Hawke on the other hand?

He's a robot trying to sound as robotic as possible.

While an interesting video, I must say Merrill's appearance concerns me a bit. Is she really that small? She looks like a child...which is not a good thing for an intended LI.



Can't she be made to look older, more like a grown-up, like she does in DA:O?

Ahem. Okay fangirl moment over let's get to serious discussion. I have to say I'm so glad that Carver doesn't sound as derpy as I thought he would, but to be fair I was expecting that. And the friction there between warrior Carver and Mage Hawke, very nice.

Glad to see Merril back though I think her suddenly huge ****** are a but much. And I loved, Loved the Varric and Cassandra scenes!

All in all, bring on March 11th!

Sorry, but that's not true at all. Female characters have always been disproportionately picked apart -- usually by male fans, though not always -- than male characters. There's probably lots of reasons for that, but it's been pretty consistently true for many games now.

Didn't see that at first, but you're right! That is the Grey Warden symbol :happy:
