She is everywhere.
And her many twins, too. She's like the Nurse Joy from hell.
Also, I have the 720p version...should I bother capping everything for you all?
Ahahahahahah Nurse Joy. Cannot be unseen. If I don't hear her say "We hope to see you again soon" I'll be disappointed.

But Sheppard's VO lacked emotion, it was like listening to a robot no matter what was being said, and it didn't fit the default look of shep at ALL. This new fellow however is a good fit.
Meer's voice sounded like a robot true, but a robot struggling to sound human.
Hawke on the other hand?
He's a robot trying to sound as robotic as possible.
But the English accent sounds so sexy and smooth to my untrained American ears, I can almost see the thoughtfullness and passion spilling from his mouth.

I'd like to add that mr. Darrah said "aboot". Well, most English dialects say "abaut", but he said "about".
Er yeah, he's canadian.
As for the vid good stuff although it still looked like they were using an old build of the game for it, the textures seemed to be poor from what I could see, especially noticeable in the shots with Hawke in a mage robe.

Except they are actually supposed to be attractive to humans. So much for that bit of lore. As for not looking human... Marvin the Martian comes to mind, except she could also pass for a twelve year-old with stuck-on ears.Dave of Canada wrote...
[*]I like Merril's new look, the elves actually don't look like humans now and it pleases me because I'm tired of the fantasy trope that elves are super sexualized humans made to please people.
Cassandra does look better, I prefer the dark hair. The rooms all look great. I'll just stare at the architecture I think.

How did you even notice her? You must have perceptive eyes.. She didn't even register to me.

Ahem. Okay fangirl moment over let's get to serious discussion. I have to say I'm so glad that Carver doesn't sound as derpy as I thought he would, but to be fair I was expecting that. And the friction there between warrior Carver and Mage Hawke, very nice.
Yep Carver actually came across much better in this vid. I feel much better about having to take him in a mage play through now.

Yeah Carver is pretty cool now.. I knew people were taking the "herp derp" pic too far.. Though Carver is going to be a problem for Mage Hawke it seems..

Random thoughts:
- The graphics look a good deal better than prior trailers and such.
- I LOVE Cassandra's new look
- Is that music the in-game music? It was ok, but I almost thought it was going to break out into John WIlliams bombastic stuff for a minute.
- Was Hawke impaling a Qunari with his mage staff and simultaneously exploding the Qunari?
- Merril- ummmm...yeah. I know they want to make the races more distinct than they were in Origins, but eh. If Merril is anything to go by, she looks like some generic dainty lithe elf with overly large eyes and ears, like any other fantasy game. And I'll just hope her frontal assets aren't quite so ridiculous looking in game, lest she tip over.
- And on that topic, Iabela obviously has a huge rack, but its disappointing to seem like its the same problem as Origins where every lady is sporting massive assets- just look at the old chantry lady in Sebastian's trailer. And then Bethany and just about every non-armor wearing female. Its fine if some are well endowed, but it looks juvenile and silly when just about every non-armor wearing woman is sporting DDs.
- I like gore just fine but does the persistent gore have to look like everyone just got drenched in gallons of blood, Carrie style? Can't they at least wipe their faces?
- My biggest concern were the facial animations and lip synching or lack thereof. Nobody moved their eyebrows or had their facial expressions matching the intensity of the VO. I'm still not sold on the faces in general as they seem very stiff and less emotive than Origins. And with the game going the cinematic route, they'll be under a great deal more scrutiny.
- Some of the lighting looked very nice!
Doesn't Cassandra bear a slight resemblence to Morrigan here? Maybe its the glare:wub:
Ok, what in the world is going on with Isabela's neck? Its quite unsettling- almost like she's going to go all Exorcist on Hawke.

Didn't see that at first, but you're right! That is the Grey Warden symbol :happy:nightcobra8928 wrote...
at 3:31 we see yet another outfit for aveline, this one looks like the warden's commander lookalike armor hawke was seen wearing in screenshots, my guesses are:
1-she becomes a grey warden
2- that armor is the city captain's armor and not a warden's armor though the symbol is similar (i'm riding on this one)
my guess is that she got promoted to head of the city guard and that armor represents it.

I'll admit the new appearance of the elf females was the one thing in this trailer that gave me a double take. If it's not just result of camera angle, then it'd seem the new elves have a pretty large head on top of very thin body and i can't help but mentally picture an onion on a stickSheryl Chee wrote...
Oh, has the obsessive picking apart of female character appearances started already? How nice.
That has nothing to do with gender btw so please don't attempt to dimiss it as such -- if it was male elf with the same proportions he'd give me the same reaction. But Fenris looks pretty much like just slim human in comparison (maybe because males in DA have all apparently overdosed on steroids, so if that starting points get the same treatment the female elves did you wind up with a regular human being)

Ok whew. Now that I've calmed down a bit I'm going to complain a little bit about the total lack of Female Hawke, her VO and her love interests. I really hope we FemHawke players get thrown a bone sometime soon.
But I love Male Hawke's voice. LOVE. And Isabela is looking beautiful. I'll reserve my opinion of Merrill's model since there's not really much to go on in this vid, but first impression was "cute".
I agree Anarya.
