I wonder how much Carver and Bethany are written as different characters? I mean, if I make a decision Carver disagrees with, would Bethany have agreed in his place. Or do they have more or less the same dialogue.

I guess my question is, how much are they alike, as characters in the game?
It would be cool if one of them was morally 'good' and one 'bad', as it could influence the plot.

Sibling Rivalry would be far more likely with a sibling of the same sex. So I definitly want Carver since my hawke will be male

Bethany. Mainly cuz I usually start as a rogue or warrior. I do like playing as mages, I just don't do it as often.



If I were a mage, then I'd probs go with Carver. But all in all, I'd almost always want Bethany.

If I could I would choose Carver just because of that video where Hawke shuts him down after complaining, which I found hilarious.



Of course I plan on being a rogue, sooooo we'll see how that works out.

I'll be playing a male Hawke and things will get awkward if Bethany continues to be the most attractive female character in the game...  At least based on what I've seen of the character models so far.

Bethany because I have a sister and it would be interesting to see if the dynamics match up to real life. Plus I get the feeling Carver is going to stab me in the back at some point which is purely unsubstantiated speculation on my part.

As I do have a brother and sister in real life (I'm also the oldest), I find it rather difficult to choose even if Bethany and Carver are just fictional... they're still Hawke's siblings. So, I don't know.

I wish the choice was ours to make when you choose your class. I would think it would be cool to have Carver and my Male Warrior Hawke have a contest of whose the better warrior.

I'm playing as a female rogue. So that means I'll have Bethany. If I had a choice when I play my male warriror, I'd like to see the dynamics of two warrior brothers, shame that I won't.

Also I hope there's another female follower whose hotter then Bethany, because I still find her to be the most attractive among all your companions.

I agree that I'd love to have the choice rather than have it be made for me, certainly the idea that some folks would want to be a mage like their sister, or a warrior like their brother, makes perfect sense and should totally be an option. If I had the choice it would probably be much the same as in ME, when I always chose Ashley over Kaiden. I'm pretty much always going to save the 'damsel in distress' even if she is almost never going to actually make it onto the team anyway (as Ashley didn't, it was almost always Liara-Tali for me). The fact that she's your sister makes it even more important to protect her whenever possible, thats just part of my basic DNA. So my choice is Bethany.
