Bethany, mostly because I think Carver looks kind of stupid with his huge jaw. Though that changes based on the PC's default, so I mean really my argument is invalid. Plus I haven't seen enough of either to make an educated decision.



So really the THREAD is invalid. XD

Mods can do many things but they have their limits, and honestly, they are rarely concerned with what is dramatically correct. So, you know, have fun and all, but don't blame us when massive things in your mage-mage runthrough don't make a hell of a lot of sense or more likely outright break. The game/story is not built to accomodate this.

I'm going to infer that Carver sides with the Templars and Bethany sides with the Mages in the Templar-Mage crisis (war). And no matter what you will have to take out your own sibling at some point during the plot.

That's the only scenario I can come up with for why a mage-mage runthrough would break the story.

I thought that too. But surely you should be able to choose your side?

Originally I wanted my first playthrough to be with Bethany, but if the speculation is true i'll have to go with Carver as I want to play a mage.

I too will be sticking with Bethany she may be a liyyle sirious but I had the chance in the demo to level her up and with my female rouge and aviline we got through the last battle with Flemonth really excellent I used the new bow on my rouge and man what ba Kick *****battle I loved it are we going to have that bow in the game I love that bow and I 'm an archer by trade I took Archery in school and man that bow wow!!!!

And that big bosom on Bethany annoyed me beyond compare right until the sun was eclipsed by Isabella's chest. At that point I just gave up on computer game physics, especially after seeing her move in combat. So lets just ditch both Carver and Bethany, our mother who blaims us for everything anyway and just make something of ourselves for a change. And Isabella can stay in her room the entire game as well, where she may think about her violating every law in physics regarding motion and momentum, not to mention her 'warrior armor' leaving about every vulnerable area of the human body exposed.
Cudos and thanks to anyone who can make a "natural chest size" and "practical armor" mod for DA2!
If we have to choose, it will just have to be Carver instead of Bethany for me, maybe the game will be nice to me so that I can just have 2 Carvers instead of needing to drag along both Carver and Isabella? Or just hand over Isabella to the guy and have him join me instead of killing him, that would be real badass.

I'd go with Carver. From the demo Bethany annoyed me a little. Plus he looks like Frankenberry.

Edit: And no, it's not Bethany's bosom that bothered me, it was just her questioning of everything.

If I had a choice, I'd keep Bethany with my female mage... as my inspiration for my female mage is a character I've played in White Wolf' Mage the Ascension and Mage the Awakening for years.  She never had a sister, however I know that if she did, she would be very close with her sister.

Then again, that closeness could work to the story as well... Maybe as much as she loves her brother Carver (because he's her brother), she always in her heart wishes he had died in Bethany's place.

I don't dislike Carver but my sister in real life is going to watch me play and so I am doing my first playthrough as Male Hawke and keeping Bethany.

Bethany is gorgeous and Im sure we will see mods which will make her even more gorgeous. Too bad she is my sister....

Carver sort of grows on you...like a tumor. I like him a lot more after playing as a mage, but I would still choose Bethany. I've always wanted a sister. I'm an only child, and only have a couple of half-siblings I don't really know.
