I was going to try to save Bethany, but I wanted my first Hawke to be a mage. Ah well, I'll eventually get the other sibling on the second Hawke.



It's not like we really know enough about them to make an informed decision, anyhow.

I have a younger sister named Beth in real life, and while I'm not one of those super overprotective brothers, still, I'll have to go with Bethany.

Since it is based off of classes, it looks like the odds are in Bethany's favor.

Warrior/Rogue = Bethany
Mage = Carver

Looks like Carver gets the short end of the stick.

As for my choice, I'd pick Bethany. I don't really like Carver.

Ah, yes, but market/default Hawke is a mage. That makes up for it.

I rock the warrior, so Beth will be in my party I'd say, plus she seems cooler than Carver.

Honestly, I am really interested in how this mage/non-mage sibling relationship will play out. So if I did have a choice, I would choose exactly what is already being done.

I'm going against everything I normally do and play as a mage first, mainly because they revamped it for the better but as I irl have a rivalry thing going with my little brother it would be fun to have a rivalry with my little brother in game as well. plus i have 4 sisters and it gets a little old after a while

When Carver had that chin he was the first companion (including Leliana's Song and Witch Hunt but not including Golems of Amgarrak 'cause they all sucked) that I didn't like on appearance. But now they fixed that, he's likeable. Bethany still takes the cake though, her hairstyle makes her look more like that of a DA character.

Ah, I forgot, hopefully I'll get to do to her as an older brother, what I'd like to do to my little sister. Belittle her and groan when boys take there fancy of her. Ugh. Once my sister and I went to a shop to buy something, and two boys came over and offered to buy her a drink, like she needed another reason to let others do stuff for her.

It will probably be even worse if you played a warrior or rogue first, then play as a mage., and visa versa for Carver.

here's to hoping nobody dies, but I'll choose Bethany cause protecting a little sister sounds emotionally empowering.

But we really don't know anything about them so we can't judge...'cough'

Since my first playthrough will be as a mage, Carver will be the one who gets saved.

However if I had a choice, I really don't know who I'd save. We don't know nearly enough about either of them to make an informed choice. All we have are our preconceptions based upon a handful of developer comments and screenshots. We don't know their exact personalities, how well we'd like them, or really anything concrete when you get down to it. Most people are assuming that Bethany is the more likable twin, and yet for all we know she could end up being the one that everyone ends up disliking for one reason or another.

Bethany, simply because she's a Mage. With Hawke and Aveline in my party, I'm good for Warriors. At least on my first playthrough.

Totally agree i am torn , should i play mage or should i play warrior  ?  I think warrior .
