I don't want to derail this thread, but it really depends on the kind of person you are, and what you want from a relationship. There are different degrees of open relationship. There are different degrees of boundaries.

You can make an open relationship work. But you have to be on the same page in terms of where both of you are, and what you both want to do, etc. And it naturally lends toward people who aren't sexually possesive. Open relationships, from what I've seen, break apart because it's actually a selfish request. The guy/girl wants to sleep with other people and has opportunities to, but the other person doesn't. That's when it can't work.

Anyway, I apologize for moving the thread off-topic, and won't post on this issue anymore. I just don't agree with the notion of monogamy as the only model for a relationship.

I never actually said that.. Yes it can work but the thing is that **** is rare... Pretty damn rare. 
It may work for some people I'm sure. But not everyones the same.
But don't get me wrong I'm not trying to get people to change their habits or some s*** I'm just making my points.

It doesnt work for me but I'm not trying to force views on anyone.

Everyone is selfish to some degree. Healthy couples don't give up all selfish bits of themselves. However, deciding your significant other can't sleep with others is possessiveness, not love. Calling it love is just ignoring that this is something your partner chooses to do for you instead of some natural right.

It's an evolutionary advantage, for men it's important that they're not going to end up raising another man's children, and for women to control the man (and only give him sex if he does what she wants, whether consciously or subconsciously). If he gets sex elsewhere, she won't be as effective.

Its just sooo wildly speculative it really doesn't deserve the arguement. I mean who is to say Merrill will not love her human baby as much as she would love a true elf baby... but bah.. I didn't really want to talk about it, i hope it gets dropped.

I wish we had more pics, or something a little more high res. Im trying to do a photoshop pic of her but its pretty, meh, so far..
I also hope she is the next companion to be officially confirmed, I want some more info and pics

I have no clue...what would even constitute what marujuana is in this game? Though if that one dwarf merchant in orzammar isanything to go by... I would say lyrum could suffice...

You know how every Circle mage starts with a point in Herbalism? It's not just for minor health poultices.

You know... I did always wonder why mages were the class to start with herbalism...none of he others seemed to start with or use initially....although the kicker was you never actually NEEDED to make poultices or even lyrum bottles(though a few extra of those coulda helped here or there)!

Well a circle book in Witch Hunt mentions the " addictive qualities of Elf Root" so that could be your answer right there..
