Hah, I may have accidentally spoiled that for a few people a page or two back, infact we were speculating on it before it was even mentioned by that German magazine, so I wouldn't worry about that.

After learning that the dalish have settled on Sundermount, the screenshot with F!Hawke talking to, obviously Merrill makes much more sense, since Sundermount's description says unholy creatures (demons, ect.) lurk the area.

Oooh, nice - That roughly translates to "Marethari urges her to join Hawke", which doesn't sound like exiled to me.

I hope so, I don't really oppose the idea of her being exiled but I wish if she is that there's a better reason for it than "She's a blood mage".

Hey everyone, I just found a new magazine article here:

It looks as though it confirms Merrill is a companion, she is a form of blood mage called Dalish Pariah, and we will find her in Sundermount to deliver the amulet. Looks like she'll be an early companion

That's actually normal...though that's not stopping people in the Varric and Fenris threads( mostly from the fangirls)...or the Aveline thread...though she seems to be gaining pages off of the sheer fact we got to hear her voice for a few seconds in the last dev diary...

Who at Bioware decided that F-cups would look good on a body that petite...? Looks absurd. They stick out past the sides of her chest far enough to seem like her arms will be clipping through them during her walk animation, unless she walks around with her arms straight out to the sides.

It could still be that Marethari wants to get rid of her.  Otherwise it would be quite a sacrifice for a keeper to send her first away, I'd think.

It could still be that Marethari wants to get rid of her.  Otherwise it would be quite a sacrifice for a keeper to send her first away, I'd think.

I'm going to go with the mirror in the ruins theory with the Dalish Warden that inherently changed something about Merrill( basically it gave her some sorta power-up, which I know is a cliche that JRPGs use, but sue me that's what I'm used to). And the thing about delivering that amulet to the Dalish, I surely hope that doesn't come back to bite us in the ass in future DA's or later on in this story( from a Flemeth perspective, not a Dalish Elf one)...

??  She was only there when Duncan smashed the mirror, along with Fenarel if you brought him.  I guess you could say she might have gotten taint sickness but then she'd just be dead.

Seeing as the magazine article states that Merrill specialization is "Dalish Pariah" and pariah means outcast or exile, i'm thinking that she might have done something like blood magic summoning and she is a sort of outcast amongst her clan if she isn't exiled.
