Oh, right, I forgot where I was for a moment. (Sigh) Oh God, this is going to get ugly. Still, Merril looks outstanding and does *not* look like a Thirteen year old. That *would* creep me out but thankfully that isn't the case with this character's appearence. I'm sorry Brockolly and others have found yet *another* thing to nit pick on, but thankfully for many others it's just another Win.

I find myself on the cold and lonely side of the fence on this with brock and others, I miss the sun, oh sun where have you gone? Alas.

No, her face does look like a thirteen year olds it has nothing to do with her height, perhaps that is subjective and perhaps a consequence of the artistic redesign I don't know all I know is that she looks like she's pre 18. Even if (I'm not really clear on this) Elves ages differently and shes 30 and a chain smoker it matters about as much as a chocolate fireguard.

Also, all this belittling of the visual judgement makes me laugh, last time I checked video games were infact a visual medium so... ok no judging of a visual media by... you know.. visuals. Also the fact that it's fine to be all like omg she's cute yet to be negative is flaming or otherwise picking apart a gender.. riiight.

I really hope she's a companion. Though her inclusion makes me ferverently wish the Dalish Origin I finished but then deleted from my save files was recorded for posterity... I want to see what Merril says if her old clan mate was the Grey Warden...

Cause clearly woman with small statures of about 5'1-5'4 with baby faces are always being mistaken for "sexualized children" as we all know woman only come in sizes of 6'1 and butch only, didn't you know that?? (which is disturbing more due to the fact cassandra is a 6'1 butch...)

Yep, I beg to differ. Because my Mahariel's facial features are actually all in place...unlike the ones of Merril. She looks like as if someone has played with the toolset sliders for the lulz to make her look like a deformed rat.

When I saw the gossip about Merrill to come back I thought "no way they would make her interesting, how?!" I feel totally defeated now, I will never think such nonsense ever about bioware team!

All I'm saying is that based on that one tiny snippet of footage of Hot Rod Samurai™ Merrill, I find her new look highly, highly unappealing, especially compared to how the Dalish looked in Origins. Maybe I'll change my mind when I see more, but its odd how Fenris is presumably an elf and doesn't look half as bizarre as Merrill looks.

I just wanna know that Merrill is still Merrill. :-/ Merrill in the Dalish origin never struck me as "cute and adorable". If that's an expansion on her character, that's fine, I'd like that. Especially if it's cute in the "I know nothing about this world, what's that?" sort of way. But I will be sad if it's more "We needed an elf, Merrill got picked and we gave her a new personality to suit the story" sort of thing.

Wow.. So much hostility towards an imaginary character.. I swear, some people are freakin weirdos.. 
We only saw one angle of her so far. I mean when I first saw Isabella I thought she was hideous, but now she's actually pretty attractive looking(still wont romance her but whatever). But maybe you should wait a little longer before calling her a deformed rat.
I mean she looks fine to me now, and if you don't like her later one thats fine as well. Not everyone likes the same things..
