I've never gotten this compliant about Merrill. Yes Dragon  Age  Elves are no longer immortal (if they ever truly were), but I understand the whole fae look so it doesn't bother me

Of all the origin story characters to appear as a companion, Merrill would have been one of my last guesses. Most companions are of a similar age to the protagonist, as with Merrill and the Dalish Elf. So here's a list of most to least likely temp companions, I'd have expected would become full companions eventually.

• Lily (is taken to Aeonar, the mage prison)
• Gorim ('tied down' in Denerim's Market Place)
• Frandlin Ivo (boringly still in Orzammar...)
• Tamlen (disappeared, most likely into the Eluvian)
• Merrill (as far as I knew, was still with the Dalish Elf clan)
• Leske (only dies if your from the Dwarf Commoner origin)
• Jowen (likely to have been executed)
• Scout (name is unknown)
• Ser Gilmore (deceased in Fort Drakon)

I hope they bring Tamlen back as part of Morrigan's stroyline. Can't wait till they do that! :happy:

I'd just like to add, since the Dalish clan is supposedly on Sundermount and we go there to deliver the amulet, I think Merrill will be one of our earliest companions. I say we can't get her early enough

Probably one of the last ones. The last would likely be either the former companion (Anders) or one, we've heard nothing about yet.

We don't know actually what happened to him, that's what I thought happened anyway. And on that origin story, I think that one - despite having the most boring premise - has the best ending of any of them.

By the maker!!!, i finally finished reading all the comments, i was thinking in making one myself but i need to breath, well i'll start saying that i love the path this game is taking and i really liked this changes
