Thanks for that! I've done all 6 origin stories upto Ostagar, but have only finished DA:O with City Elf, Circle Mage and Dwarf Commoner, so I didn't know that. Also, I knew it'd be better to be a female Dalish, instead of a male! :happy:

Too bad though, guess it's just Morrigan, Flemeth and perhaps the Warden, who will have anything to do with the Eluvian.

Even so, he got what he deserved, and maybe he deserved a little more <_<  she obviously had some kind of feellings for the Warden, is it just me or im saying crazy stuff???

It kills me that if you try to leave after finding the mirror he gets all "Waaah but don't you want to see what it is?" Then you're forced into the continuation cutscene. I wanted my Dalish to deck him :/

Or have said something like, "Tamlen, dear, need I remind you how few elves there are? Mayhaps we should not be touching the portal to evil."
Though, yeah. I would rather have knocked him out and dragged him back to camp before we got anywhere near the freaky ruins.

To his credit, it was nice to have something to remind me of my character's Origin, other than the Gauntlet. On the other hand, he lead me to believe the Dalish wore the oblivious and ditzy hat, until it was proven otherwise.

Shale pretty much hijacked the scene. I was all: "Okay, if you want to die I'll do it." then Shale just elbows my Warden aside screaming something about pigeons and a few seconds later... alas, poor Tamlen, I knew him well! (Well... not really...)

On the subject of Merrill, as this is her thread, I'm not sure how she would react to such a thing. I'm sure she would be shocked by Shale squashing Tamlen like a chicken, but perhaps she would come to understand why he had to be squashed like a chicken?

Well, if she was there with you...I tend to believe that she would have been able to put 2 n 2 together...but beyond that I have no idea of her reaction...as the Merrill in origins was rather standoffish...

I did check that, as I said. I found no evidence of Tamlen bieng an enemy, but later somone gave me the link in the Wiki, so I know already. But thanks anyway.

EDIT: Watching that vid, made me think of a song called Until the Day I Die. Now I can't get it out of my head.

Like no doubt many, perhaps most, here I recently did the Dalish Origin again to see what that was like, as I had only done it like once, a mighty long time ago. I didn't remember Merrill or very much else for that matter. Imagine my pleasant surprise when I learned that a mod I had already installed allowed me to romance Merrill with my Female Elf! In fact, I think we're engaged right now. Hopefully that won't keep my Lady Hawke from marrying her too .



In the Dalish Origin, Merrill clearly isn't as cute as she is in DA2, but she's still mighty cool! Its a lot of fun having her on the team, even though its only for a little while, and I imagine she will be even more fun to have around in DA2. She certainly makes what was for me an otherwise fairly boring Origin WAY more interesting! Thank you Merrill!
