I really dont see we stand a chance to get near Varric or Fenris. Too much of a distance. Hundreds of pages... They both have huge, consistent fanbases and many talented and exclusive fan-artists...

Well apart from the first 30 pages or so which was full of (OMG she haz big boobs) and (DARN you bioware she's so young, this is pedophile).... the rest is pure discussion about Merrill and topics related to her and with next to nothing of info... I say we're at least in for some points

Appearances in promo videos... maybe even a video for herself... imagine it, you come across Merril fighting some darkspawn in a forest, she then summons a demon and kill them, she tells Hawke that it`s okay, demons are nice and all (the scene we have a picture of) and then BANG, demon comes and eats her head.



It would take me a couple days before I could move.

Nope we didn't, they advertised her as a full fledged companion not a scape goat.

I wasn't here, but I didn't know that Mhairi was going to die.....but seriously, when I saw Oghren, Anders and Mhairi doing the Joining, I was sure someone was going to die.
Merrill maybe is an optional companion, as Isabela, that you can decide if you want to recruit, but I don't think she's going to die. Plus, some preview stated that she goes in Kirkwall with Hawke.

I wouldnt mind much if they kill a character, as long as they kill him/her the right way. I mean, in a dramatic meaningful way, after having given that character the opportunity to develope...

Mhairi's death was a very cheap blow bellow the belt, thats sure... Even more so if you add Oghren burping his sip afterwards...

Edit: Just DON'T PICK UP MERRILL for that, writing team...
