i am reluctant to consider her as a romance option for two reasons
A. she looks like she could be in her late teens and Hawke looks to be in his early thirties (maybe i can make him look younger) and B. i always thought her and the Dalish Warden (my first warden) were a thing during the origin mission and im sentimental like that

Even with what little we've seen of her she does seem to have that Tali like spunk. Hopefully the comparison isn't entirely incorrect.

She does have a tali like command of the threads here...though I really would like to see how this thread is gonna take off when she is finally revealed on the website.



@themageguy... chance are when she joins my party...I'm gonna spec her with lightning and earth spells anyways, along with spirit type spells like crushing prison n mana clash( which was soooooo broken it basically made enemy mages irrellivant in my playthroughs...lol)

Yeah, if she ever approaches Tali snark levels we're in for an awesome companion and (hopefully) LI.


I'm hoping Merrill has some kind of vampiric-style health regeneration for the group as side effects of her Blood Keeper spells to give my party some survivability and provide healing to an otherwise physical oriented group, unless Unnamed Mage #2 is a Spirit Healer, in which case I might bring both, and Merrill will be on full nuking and crowd control duty.

That's exactly my point... I doubt she will catch varric n fenris...but her being the best received female so far is quite impressice for a thread that is only 2 weeks old.

LOL...this is true! I personally don't because we seen to keep to be able to keep decent conversations going on in here( for the most part)...whereas those threads can go off on tangents ALOT....

I just played the Dalish origin...Merrill came across as quite bossy. My PC did intimidate her into not complaining about taking along Fenarel. There is absolutely no dialogue that implies any kind of relationship between her and the PC, in fact there is nothing at all to indicate closeness except for a close up shot of her face as he and Duncan leave the Dalish camp.



This Pariah business will be quite interesting.

I think she and the PC shake hands/pat eachother's shoulder/hug or something like that. Merrill is the only one he/she does that to.

Well, if she ends up being as awesome as Tali, or dare I dream it....even moreso....then I really wont care whether she has more or less anti-fans than Tali, it'll all be worth it . She definitely seems to have that super-awesomeness potential that Tali had before ME1, actually I'd have to say even more than Tali had at that time. How it all plays out remains to be seen, but if anybody could take the place of Tali at the top of the fan-charts, it definitely seems that it could be Merrill!
