Great pics! I notice she's not wearing shoes (I think...), is this a new standard for elves?
Apparentlys. Whoever was in charge of that decision should be flogged to death.

Navi noses have flat bridges. The elves seem to have very pronounced bridges with only a subtle transition from forehead to nose.
There's a big difference.
I will concede that. However it doesn't stop me getting a Navi vibe from the new female elf design. Though liek I said, I think its clearest in the concept art and exactly how that translates into the in-game models will alter my perception considerably. I don't think Merill looks that Navi, for instance.

No shoes either? Ah, I get it now. Elves are taller because of the thick layer of calluses on their feet. It all makes sense now.
See, that would make sense. But the artists probably also have an aversion to thick foot calluses on elves as well
They will be dainty and tread lightly on the grass. And the hard stone cobbles of cities. Same difference.

LOL... How did I know it was gonna be you that would bring that up?( though I do agree with your stance on this.)
OT: Nice screen shots... and to the artists of the past few fanarts... GREAT work as usual...keep it up guys...we will get our character sooner or later!

Well, you see, all the elves got locked in a laundry room just before DA2. They got hungry, so they cooked their shoes in the dryer and ate them. Now they're bored.
The point is, you can't count on the Maker for jack. He pretty much told me so himself! So come on! If we don't save those elves, no one will!
(Note: This will probably seem less funny when I finally sober up.)

If there's no explanation, make one up. It's how I get through Square Enix games.

Assuming it's not restricted to the PC, Merrill will definately be using my Staff of Parthalan.

Actually, they should be even shorter, as the calluses partially eat up into the skin, while the shoe soles go outside.yukidama wrote...

I definetely see normal good sized breasts on Merrill. She's no loli and that is good. Few days ago my chemistry teacher (a woman) said she feels sorry for us guys because boob sizes are dramtaically falling down.

Good luck with FFXIII-2!
On the new images.... I'd like to make a note that we support trying to keep that particular hall enemy-free.

I support shoes for Merrill in Dragon Age 2.
Yes, while they poss the advanced technology of clothing, the technology of making footwear still escapes them.
This is why the Dalish are so poor off compared to other races. They spend so muhc of their resources on feeet-related pains and isses, that they don't have enough left for social welfare!
