Yay, something just occurred to me. I remember being really bummed that I wouldn't get to play as a mage Fem!Hawke and tear up the Free Marches with my fellow mage sis Bethany, but now it looks like having Merrill will more than make up for it. I can't wait to blow up Templars with her.
(Something I wanna try is getting a side-by-side screenshot of Fem!Hawke and Merrill with their arms outstretched with magic blasting forth like in those pics)

You'd have to live in the field then! Or a forest. Go all Dalish. But yeah I agree, it's awesome to walk barefeet on sand/grass. Liberating even!

Is it me or is the Merrill's Chest Controversy more engaging to the member base than the Isabela's Pants Debacle?

I never understood the whole 'chest controversy', to me it didn't go from looking big before to normal now, it went from looking normal before to small now. I guess some folks just prefer small, and normal seems huge to them. Then again, I never paid much attention to anything other than her face anyway, so maybe if I had obsessed over it as others did, I'd have come to a different conclusion, who knows .

Nah, Gaider said the artists had this issue with letting elves wear shoes.

Which I think is silly. One character is fine, but a race?

Sheesh. It's going to be a pain going to vendors now. I can barely get Varric into a store past the sign on the door:

No Shirt,

No Shoes,

No Service.

Fenris at least has footie things over part of his feet. And Isabela is fine according to those requirements. Of course, Merrill could just torch the store if they don't let her in.

Why not? Hobbits in the Lord of the Rings series never wore shoes. There are still people on this planet who don't wear shoes - either because of thier poverty level or because they don't need to wear shoes.

Nothing wrong with that.
