I could care less about the 'stuff' going on around here lately... I'm just happy to see some kind of updates...whenever they come...NOW, thank god this is NOT what DA:O was apparently was( but that game WAS pulled back 6 months, so I can understand) but still... the way information is coming now... I think is disconserting but I'm not gonna let it get me down. We have what... 33 days left until release here in the US anyway, so as far as I'm concerned this is the stretch run. I went through some of the same type of things last year when FF 13, God of War 3, Resonance of fate, and DA:A released within a week of each other. This is really no big deal for me in anyway shape or form...

Good on you, stranger! We need more "Ieyasu"s than "Mitsunari"s here, being positive for a change. Seriously.

Crazy fan that I am, I wish there were more updates but a part of me is GLAD that I haven't received any. Whether intentional or not, DA2's media has been damn good about not spoiling the game like crazy. It might be nice for a change to actually play a game without anticipating specific LIs or personalities, and go along with 'WOAH' every scene change.

Nice screenshot, also about the Friday reveals guys, only Fenris was revealed on Friday IIRC, Isabella and Varric were revealed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays respectively so I wouldn't get my hopes up.

I don't know if I could have my Hawke romance her if she is an option. I'll just keep picturing Theron looking into her eyes and his hand on her arm before he walks away to save the world.

Yeah felt kind of strange he'd make this gesture with Merrill and not say Ashalle, anyway I think my first romance is gonna be Merrill no matter what, I'm not into the "up against the wall" kind of romance.

LOL! The only character who has wallpapers on the site other than Male Default Hawke is Isabela so far...so noone else has even gotten that far in the wallpaper collumn as of yet...

I hope she's not a clone of Tali. Tali's great, but her character was a bit lacking in some respects. Still, a great character though - don't get wrong on that one, but I have a feeling that Merrill's going to do the whole "girl next door" thing much better.

Judging by how much Merrill kicks ass in those screenshots, I think she would an even more assertive version of Tali. Perhaps a mixture of Silk Fox, Mission Vao, and Tali put altogether.

I think she isn't necessarily another Tali as well, we know nothing of her personality and you can't judge anyone from their looks alone, as I said way back in the thread what I'm mostly looking forward to in the reveal in the character quote, it tells much more about the character than the description they write.

She does that for a female Mahariel too, but I understand the power of those origin romances.  *sob Tamlen Gorim sob*  The ladies seem to have gotten some extra attention in that department.

But, does that really mean no visit to the Love Shack in DA2??  If we get to tumble with Nathaniel Howe, my Hawke is so hitting that, even if mentally I have him destined for my Orlesian Dalish.

But probably this is too pessimistic tray of thoughts.

This week we has demo + closed beta announcements so there will be no new game reveals I think.

From the portraits in Cassandra's book in the dev diary, and the devs said we'll have at least 2 companions of each class and we have no mages except Merrill yet (Bethany doesn't count).

We need one more mage so we will have two-of-each-class (Carver&Bethany do not count). And we need male human for LI. So this leave us with human male mage whose code name is "subject Anders".

I think Merrill's character will be a cross between Tali and Morrigan. I get the vibe that she will be sweet and endearing with a touch Morrigans witty personality. As long as she's not a total b**** and her character is interesting which I think it will be, she is gonna be a permanent staple in all my playthroughs.

That'd be cool. Toss in a slight Mission Vao vibe and Merrill will be perfect.
