Carver most likely will stay out of my party as well, I always use two mages, so when I play warrior there'll be Merrill + Male mage or Merrill + Beth (if she's a permanent companion) and one rogue... either Varric or Isabella and mostly Varric because Isabella looks kinda meh to me and Sebastian? well I've had enough of the I was wronged and I'll have revenge kind of characters.

For me it's gonna be a harem parade of merrill, bethany, and isabella. I'm not liking varric( having nothing to with him being a dwarf or his VA) right now...so, til I get to know his personality. He maybe sitting at camp with the 2 bishies and Aveline( though she will be in the party when I'm a rogue...if i decide not to take Fenris)...

Yeah, with some rather interesting party banter to follow it...or maybe even set it up...but having that happen would mean that Merrill would have to be a bi option as well which I wouldn't mind and certainly make some of the female fans who visit thread VERY VERY happy...LMAO!

Wow, the more I hear the more I get excited. Merrill is gonna be the awesomesauce. She sounds so unique. She is the quiet, reserved, nerdy, elf-girl next door. Not to social like Wynne, Ogrhen, or Leliana, but not a rude or off-putting character like Sten or Morrigan. A perfect middle-ground.

What you described is not unique at all.
As a matter of fact, take out the word 'elf' and you just described Liara.
Luckily though I've heard nothing of her being described as 'quiet', 'nerdy', or 'reserved' so she's still got potential.

What you described is not unique at all.

Thats true we don't know what her character is going to be like yet. Thats just my intrepretation of how I want her character to be. I see that you disagree, so how would you want her to be like?

Where is this confirmed?  Seems to me like it's the common speculative consensus - which could be totally wrong, or did I miss something?

For those who wonder about the words "potential companion" having a deeper meaning (romance), I present this quote about Isabela. Take what you will from it.

"Isabela, the saucy sea captain whom you could potentially have a tryst with in Origins, has been confirmed as a possible companion for Dragon Age 2."

While I do like what OXM said, I still understand that's how they perceived the character not how Bioware describes her, so I'm still waiting for an official reveal.

Well, the Fenris voice... apparently has something to do with Gaider saying how if he let people hear it, they would be able to guess his VA almost right away. My problem is we have heard Carver's voice...now we need to hear Bethany's voice..why one twin and not the other?

I believe it was if he said what the accent is, people would guess the VA.

Seems the marketing scheme is to focus solely on the male testosterone players, so we get lots of Garrett and his busty sidekick but not much else for now.  I thought we had heard Bethany's voice already??

No, i went through all the videos and dev diaries and such and found nothing of her voice...just Garrett,Isabella, Varric, and in the latest Aveline and Fenris were added... so all I can hope is the rest of voices will be heard at some point before the release...

This week coming is warrior week...god knows what kinda getup people show up to that thing in... but anyway, apparently there is a NDA in effect that will pass this coming week as well...that's why people seem to believe that superbowl ad is coming soon...which I hope it is... because though I wasn't impressed enough to buy it the 'Dante's Inferno' ad was quite good...
