I love how just because there is one screenshot with a human that somewhat resembles Anders everyone becomes convinced that he's a companion.

Just because there's a mage that needs to be announced and there's a picture of anders with the other companions, people leap to the conclusion, it's just bizarre.

Is it that time already? What a glorious way to start the morning!

The spiel: BW employs talented people who are perfectly capable of designing distinct faces. Unless he's got a twin brother, if we can recognize his face 'somewhat' despite blur, that might as well mean it's him. As for being a companion, he's included in that pricey looking reaction group shot, also that sixth portrait in Cassanda's Book of People who are Probably Important has the unusual Anders chin and low browline. I think he'll stick around for a while.

Also that outfit is soooooo him.

I don't feel like there is cause to be ambivalent on this one. *sits and waits for reveal*

I've said this before and I will say it UNTIL he is revealed that I refer to that man as the 'badass in the trench coat'...

~Sigh~ that's what I keep telling everyone, that is Anders no question about it, my guess is he'll stay anonymous even after release though, ala Garrus in ME2.

Except no one can prove that it isn't just some guy in a fancy coat.

Man I remember on the old Bioware Boards when someone actually guessed that archangel was Garrus. That was only like 2 years ago but damn if it doesn't make me feel old.

OT (Well I guess I was already off topic in a reply to an off topic post.): This has been racking my brain since I listened to the theme from Thunderball and this is somehow the most appropriate thread for it; Tom Jones as a Dalish Elf in DA2.

You can't recognize an old friend at a distance?

*weeps*

I'm 99% sure it isn't Anders. I'll be disappointed if it is him for 3 reasons. He was already in Awakening, he was way too similar to Alistair, and I like seeing the hopes of weird and obsessive fangirls crushed.

Well, your name does have the word malevolence in it. ;)  'Course I have no opinion one way or another, since I haven't played Awakening and haven't met Anders.

Anyway, I just needed to delurk long enough to say that that picture is fantastic. You reeeaaally should sell it as a poster Pseudocognition. I...I wish to possess it.

No can do, the subject matter is not mine to profit from.

That's a great point. I imagine getting dragged to court isn't all that fun. Still, picture is bookmarked so I can summon it up from the internet at a whim.

I'd trade a pound of fine coffee for it, but I need that stuff. My brain never works quite right without it.

If it's not Anders then it must be his elusive long lost twin brother.

*pokes Pseudo*

You've got a new friendship request.

Not that, I mean that they're in a strip-poker game with their sibling.

They have probably seen each other naked not just once by now and think nothing of it. Modesty isn't exactly the sort of luxury you're going to have in spades in typical single-room medieval backwater village household.

I'm more surprised dog isn't participating in the poker game, tbh.

That's a great poster but that does not seem to match what we know of Merrill's personality so far....

It's a parody. Plus, besides an impression from OXM, we know very little about Merrill, but if the OXM impressions are true, then we may have a treat on our hands...

I wish I were better with colors, otherwise there would be much less gray.

Great fan art! Merill + Fenris fanart a day keeps the darkspawn away ;)

We know almost nothing about her.

It'd probably would be more accurate to say that it does not match what some people think her personality should be.

Very good point.  Privacy as we know it is actually a luxury.

@s0meguy: Take it from experience guy, there are situations where you don't want to be hugged by a cute girl in public

...in retrospect this is probably the most masculine thing I've said on these forums.

Revan Hawke disappoves (-50)

Otherwise, amazing work, even with all the gray you got there.
