In my fanfiction story, my Dalish mage learned blood magic from Flemeth- I wonder if it could be a similar deal, that Merrill was apprenticed to someone besides Marethari.  *cue creepy music*

Seems this way, Flemeth is known to deal with the Dalish every now and then, she used them in The Stolen Throne to capture Loghain and Maric in the forest... and they kind of respect and fear her so I wouldn't put it past me that Flemeth taught Merrill blood magic, but now I fear for her, considering what happened with Morrigan I don't think everything is going to turn out well with her....someone here mentioned that she'll help us with a ritual that is a major plot twist (dark ritual anyone?).... hope she's not another Morrigan (story wise that is).

Well it does say that Flemeth had many daughters, doesn't have to be consecutive in a row.  That was a bit of my premise, that Flemeth was looking for a spare.

If I have the possibiliy I'll try to kill Flemeth anyways, I simply don't trust her.
Howewer, I don't think that Flemeth is going to attempt to Merrill's body. It will be repetitive.

I don't think it's gonna be the same as well, but it's obvious she has something planned for Merrill and that she's using her for some purpose, or maybe Merrill knows everything and is working with her... either way I want her to get her hands/claws/tentacles away from my Merrill.

In the video, though, Flemeth is clearly referring to the Clan Keeper, not Merrill. That is my understanding of it. The scene is set in the blightlands, right after they wipe out the darkspawn.



We'll be seeing that in the demo, so any doubts wil be cleared then.

She's gotta be around for the final showdown with Morrigan, so not gonna happen.  But she could simply see other uses for a mage who's carrying out her plans.

Yeah I guess we'll know who is she talking about soon, but I still think it's Merrill, if Flemeth knows what the amulet does, how and where it's used then it's fair to assume she knows of the barrier, that's why she specifically asks Hawke to speak with Merrill knowing that she's a blood mage and will be able to bypass the barrier with no problems.

I hope that Merrill can use some of the abilities that Velanna had in Awakening. Thornblades and Nature's Vengeance were off da hook, yo.

Flemeth is the parasite of young female mages. I wouldn't be suprised if Flemeth offered to help the Dalish if Merrill would give up her body.

Who knows, Flemeth might even trick Merrill into giving up her body - or forcibly possessing her when Hawke and Co. aren't around.
