And since you were so patient, here is a longer blurb about her background.

The Keepers of the Dalish are the masters of ancient lore and guardians of old secrets. As First, Merrill has been a student of Dalish lore and magic all her life. She can recite all of known elven history and navigate the Fade… but has very little experience with the world or even her own people. She has always held a respected place within her clan, but an isolating one – being Keeper Marethari’s heir kept her just slightly apart from the others.  Forced to flee north to escape from the Blight ravaging Ferelden, Merrill finds her clan in a foreign land, trapped between a bustling city full of humans and a haunted wilderness, and must find help for her people. Whatever the cost.

Partly because she's attractive, sure, but mostly because she's an elf, a mage, and a Keeper.

I'm sure my Dalish Elf would smack her round the head. Though she'd warn her first. Also, it's pretty much a definite, that Merrill is an LI.

LOL, that's awesome you get to play that out again in DA2. It's why I was hoping to repeat the Alistair/dwarf dynamic with Hawke/Varric ("Am I too tall for you, Varric?" "Don't be ridicilous!"), but no big deal if that doesn't happen. Always a small hope we can play dwarves again and have a dwarf romance then!

Two elf romances in DA2 -- people are getting spooooooiled.

It does! But uh... you've drawn to my attention, that the female human there looks like Fenris.

EDIT: Tis wrong how the best concept there is of the female Dwarf.

 I think it comes down to how important Hawke ends up being to the elves.  There have been hint's that Maethari's clan is more tolerable towards humans, and they obviously respect Flemeth regardless of her human 'appearance'. 

But anyway this is why I always wanted a Dalish LI because I've always wanted to know how they would handle onE of their's being with a Shem.

I don't want to sound mean but her "concept art" is the main concept art for elven fem but with clothes intead of intimates...And why is she the only one without at least a screenshot? :?Weird...
