Your right, and I'm overthinking things based off very little evidence. Ha bet Bioware wasn't expecting someone to concede to overthinking on these forums.

Edit: (Upon seeing edit of originally quoted post.) Yeah it probably makes sense that she twists the staff for melees, we've seen Hawke do the same in the Destiny trailer.

I can't believe I missed the reveal......... Ah well my late celebration will be just as special, MORE EVEN! My roommate and I shall order Chinese. Now all we need is for them to officially say she's a LI and I shall be content. (All signs point to she is but damn can Bioware be crafty sometimes)

At 90% she is a LI, because they confirmed Aveline isn't a LI.

There isn't anymore "sealed" thing in creatures, environment and classes pages neither. Carver and Bethany are quite sure companions, because there is a screen of Carver level-up with the friend-rivarly bar.

Actually, they removed all "sealed" references from the site, and yet there's only Warrior listed under classes.

Good to see Merrill coming back. I'm also happy she's about a million times better looking than she was in DA1, really hoping Hawke can romance her because, and I'm sure I'm not alone on this, I really don't have any interest in Isabela.

if Aveline is not a Li - that makes Merrill a certainty unless the game only has Isabella which is unlikely

Yeah its unlikely that Isabella is the only one, and I know Aveline isn't because of story reasons.



Basically I mention Isabella only because she's shown making out with hawke in about every trailer. XD Which bugs me a little cause I'm not the biggest fan of her.

I dunno I seem to remember early in dragon age 2 forum history that there were hints of being able to romance non companion NPC's. It was so long ago that trying to dig up anything on it is insane and my memory is quite possibly faulty. I'm 95% sure Merrill is a Li but I'm keeping that 5% out and about because as I said: Bioware is crafty
