I really hope they are nothing alike. It seems to me she will be a more evil charater with the blood magic and all.

I liked Morrigan a lot more when she wasn't in my party, objecting to all the nice stuff I did. I love when she does show emotion though, especially at the end. I was in the middle of romancing her, but then my game stopped working.

Yea I have a feeling her class is gonna deal some major damage. Just with the name alone "Dalish Pariah", sounds like a pretty powerful class with high DPS. Anders will probably be the healer and Merrill the primary damage dealer.

Oh I love the comparison between her and Sigrun. I can totally see how they'd be alike.
I must say, comparing Merrill (shall we call her Daisy? Gaider said Varric does that...) to Sigrun makes her sound a lot more appealing that comparing her to Tali or Liara does. Not that I dislike the latter two (I do think Tali is painfully bland, though), I just want Daisy to be different.
I'm picturing a non-street-savvy Sigrun written by Mary Kirby, and it is awesome.

Hopefully she'll have some funny moments like Sigrun like the talk with Velanna about sniffing dirt:P

I imagine she'll have difficulty "dealing" with people.
Nothing new there, Viconia romance from BG2, Morrigan romance DA:O
Much as I love weird/odd girls, games should really try a different approach to romance plots other then the "stuck up b*itch/extremely shy" types.
Well so far there hasn't really been any "shy" types(atleast in DA, I haven't played any other Bioware games). Maybe Alistair, but not really. Morrigan was just a ****, plain and simple, there was nothing shy about her. I look forward to Merrill's awkwardness, as I find it adorable. Besides, we haven't actually done her romance, nor do we know much about it.
In fact we know the least about Merrill...
That makes me very sad. WE NEED MORE MERRILL INFO!
But anyway, I see as shy around new people, but friendly enough. Very optimistic, maybe a bit naive and possibly tempted by that demon fropm her short story. She also seems a bit nerdy, but in a good nerdy-like-I-am-possibly-as-obsessive-as-I-am nerdy, but this is purely on the she knows all the Dalish lore stuff, not sure if ALL Keepers HAVE to know this. And once she knows people better, she's more relaxed and personality-y. Like me. I'm going to love Merrill either way.

I'm hoping we don't have to wait till the game actually comes out just to hear her voice.
I'm so impatient...
Yes, I'm hoping she's shy but not unfriendly. I'm also interested in what she'll say if the Warden was dalish and all the different possibilities there.

So by looking at the talents thread I noticed that Merrill has a spell in her unique tree called "Wrath of the Elvhen"... I wonder what it does, seems scary![]()
Where did you see this talent? Btw, I kinda know how I'm building all the companions...and it is by straight maxing their personal spec out first...then there weapon spec ( or mage...whatever spell schools I like the best...creation being a must for all of them...LOL)...

Really? I didn't see any of the companion trees... where is that exactly?
In the talent called "Goad"...
The rogue incites all enemies in an area into attacking a chosen ally instead of their current targets. Besides simply direction foe to cluster around a particularly hardy party member, this effect complements spells or talents that provide bonuses based on the number of enemies surrounding a companion, like Bravery, Grave Robber, Savvy, or Wrath of the Elvhen.
Now that I think about it though, it can be one of Fenris' skills <_<

Merrill will go for the Primal tree and her personal spec, and since I'll be playing a 2 Handed Warrior she'll do nice damage against targets I've staggered... aside from that I haven't decided anything else, still want to take a better look at these skills

Oh! Ok, I usually forget things I don't understand lol
It could be hers, or Fenris'... I have a feeling it's more likely to be Merrill's though, as Fenris doesn't seem to be much of an "elf pride" type of guy. Then again from what little we know(his short story), he just seems to hate other elves.
