Where are all the Speculations that merril is a blood mage coming from?

It comes up from time to time, but i have yet to see any source from. or is just result of over speculation?

It really is hard to say, Speculation tied in with a single screen shot that is speculated to be a conversation with Merrill.

I don't reckon she is a blood mage. Or if she is, then it's a small part of the character, that is Merrill.

Really? Eve Myles? And this isn't some kind of cruel pre-April Fools' joke? If this is true, I will definitely be playing through as male-Hawke so I can romance her because Eve Myles' voice is <3:wub:<3B). Unless she's the f/f option, in which case I may die of happiness before I even get to play.

So I'd say that it's not evil, but it's not for everyone.

I'm of the oppinion that blood magic is for no one.NO ONE can be trusted with it. No exceptions.

I get the impression from DA's overall story, that Blood Magic is the main form of magic performed by all the Dalish. Its mentioned so many times in context to their lifestyle. Blood Magic can ultimately be corrupted, but I don't think its inherently evil.

She's listed as the voice of Merrill in the credits. Given that the lady is from the show Torchwood and she's welsh, its pretty clear that she is in fact Merrill.
