Just got a peek at the latest issue of Gamestar, nothing new apart from what's been already posted, but there's some new screenshots, Hawke and the party fighting Qunari inside the Kirkwall chantry, in another one fighting some abominations with a Templar that looks like Cullen.

Nothing new about Merrill except that there's some banter between her and Aveline about why she left her clan and why Aveline accepted the job as a city guard.

Disappointed about lack of information on Merrill and her banter with Isabela. In a weird way, I bet they'd get on well.

Cullen's back? Intweeging! Might have to import a Female Mage if this is twoo for some fun talking with him, if he's even in it.

Merrill's eyes in Origins are blue, but from what I can figure out of the screenies, they changed their colour to this or at least a really light brown...

@ ViSeira : that party banter is probadly hilarious! Cullen's back? That figures since his VA does show up in the credit list of the demo...atleast that twerp Jowan isn't in this game trolling us again!

He has uncanny resemblance to Cullen, I'm guessing it's him, anyway nothing new at all regarding Merrill... :-(

They did a good job with Merrill's voice casting. Eve Myles has such a grown-up voice I doubt anyone will mistake her for a teenager or child when they actually play.

And it clearly means she won't be just some naive virgin. Eve's voice points to a completely different kind of character.

Nope they didn't, however we know who her VA is from the Cast in the demo.

LOL... no continue to voice your opinion! This thread needs to stay on the first page and I agree with you... I seriously doubt she will be naive at all...in fact she may actually be planning on joining Hawke n comapny on their journey from about 2 minutes after meeting them and only have said action confirmed by what Marethari tells her.

Edit: * thinks the new trailer on facebook is pretty cool...though it looks like it's a just a set up trailer for the demo...not the true "release" trailer...*

I tend to believe that is why they are holding her back...which means that particular event must be HUGELY important to the plot of the story...

I believe that, since in her recuitment there is a huge plot twist. It's not the same for other companion, at least from what I've seen.

Dev1:  "We need another mage in the party"
Dev2: "mmm, remember that b*i*t*c*h*y dalish mage from Origins? how about we bring her back?"
Mary: "Sweet, I'll write her..."
Mary (2 hours later): "I'm done".

LOL, I'm gonna assume the worst, at least this way I'm not gonna be disappointed in-game if her role is smaller than we assumed

Well, she at least seems to be tied to the mainstory. But they could at least publish a bit of material with her. I mean the release is just two weeks away, we already have a demo and all, but we still haven't learned anything about Merrill (I finally learned to write her name with a double R )  apart from four or five screenshots and the little short story, that did tell us not half as much about the her, than the others did about their specific companion.

Is is just me or from what we've seen so far, does Merrill look a bit "choppy?"
