Well if it's true I've got no problem if that's what you're asking. 

I dont either, I plan to do quite a few femhawke runs. I really like her voice.

But I must hear Merrill's voice now.

Yeah, a human and elf relation always does produce a human doesn't it? While with Hawkes family history and Merrill being a mage it is very possible that any offspring produced would be sensative to magic, that offspring would always be a human so it'd be pretty impossible for them to be accepted into a Dalish society. 

So really I guess Merrill, if she wants to stay with Hawke, would have to choose between where she wants to spend the rest of her life? She might also decide if maybe some of the Dalish customs are far too strict and secular. 

It'd be nice if WE had the option to let her go, as in we make that choice for her for her own sake... man that'd be pure awesomeness... I should be writing romance fan fics, if not for the lack of my writing skills

Haha, I'd never be able to let her go. 

I do like the idea of conflicting cultures though. I mean there's no way Merrill could just join Hawke and nothing about her culture being strict Elven purists and isolationists would come up. Especially if Hawke tries getting into a relationship with her. She'd definetly would have to rethink her idea of what humans really are. Especially if she starts liking him in return.

'Tis times like this I wish they put in pregnancies. Even if the baby was a stillbirth or something. That'd be heartbreaking though, especially if they play This Woman's Work by Kate Bush.

I actually liked Velanna, not that I want Merrill to be anything like her. The less I hear Grey DeLisle the better.

I liked Velanna myself. She started off pretty abrasive but it was easy to show her that she was being a little too judgmental.



But like Gavin said, I don't want Merrill to be anything like her per say. XD

I'm actually more interested in her knowing that she's a bloodmage. I thought DA:O lacked that, since there wasn't a character who was a bloodmage by default who could give you a some prospective. Every NPC that used it was either a cannibal, a demon worshipers, a dragon worshiper, a rebel in the Circle, or an idiot who dabbled in it. There wasn't a character to give a good bloodmage example.

She may have some ties to it. From what I can tell the Dalish don't really follow the same magic rules that the chantry has forced on the circle.

Considering Anders is the Healer, that only leaves Force mage or Blood Mage. And considering everything that's been revealed, I'm going to bet on Blood Mage.

Velanna is supposed to be mean. I mean, there has GOT to be SOME depth to the companions available in one game! Even a small one like Awakening. If everyone was the same in personality, they would get boring, and never be unique.

Unless you mean she sucked in general, like a forumite would know better than a team of professional writers.

I love Velanna! Everything I want in an evil female elf.
