The second dev diary had like a 3 second footage of Merrill, right? in this particular footage she had a clipping issue with her hair, a lock of it was going through her left ear, in the new romance screenshot this was fixed... in this one with FemHawke same said clipping issue is present, hence my conclusion that he in fact took her head from the dev diary and implemented it into his fake screenshot.

Models are real, older build but real, but the light and the placement look like they were chopped from other screenshots.

Hmmm just saw that portion of the dev diary again, Merrill's head didn't go all the way to right as in the screenshot... damn it, I'm torn between fake and legit right now, maybe a few hours from now a dev will save us and tell the truth.

The same here. But it looks like someone just cut Merrill and Hawke from another screenshot and put into this one. I mean, Merrill is too gray here, like a vampire from 'Bloodlines', and both women are a little bit out of the place... not sure how to say it. They're just different. Not like the bed and the floor, and walls.

Why would ANYONE put hours of work into such a screen shot, just to fool the five people, who are asking themselfs if there will be a F/F-relationship with Merrill?

There are already test samples out there, some mags already put up reviews of the game, so he might actually got his hands on DA2.

It could be fake, of course. But I at least hope it isn't.

If it's real, then it changes everything!

I was going to play a male rogue who romances Merrill on my first play-through. But now it could very well change into a female mage (I hate male mages, blame blizzard/wow for that).

But it could be fake...

OK, finally had some time for Photoshop...  I manipulated the image a bit, I don't know about you guys but there are some serious artifacts in this pic (around the hair, the neck area... etc), but there's also some serious detail, some things were not visible in the original pic, if it was indeed a fake I don't think anyone would go that far to make it look real... I still can't make up my mind about it, but I'm leaning towards the real camp now.

Btw, the guy that took (or made) this picture should be playing on low quality.

Regardless, Merrill surely is very cute!
