I think it's a little perspective really that's making her look as tall., I still feel she's slightly shorter, not by a lot though. That and Female hawk I think tends to be shorter than male Hawke? At least it's not like fable where the PC character is literally taller and bigger than everyone.

But yeah, she's no where near the 12 year old things that people have been on trolling about.

From everything I have seen on Merrill (which isn't much unfortunately ) she seems like an awesome character! Totally going to be my first playthrough romance!!

However...I am getting this uneasy feeling that she is going to have some epic drama revolving around her character. Hurry up March 8th so I can find out and protect my little Merrill!!!!!

Yeah, it seems like she's not going to be as clean cut as some of the other characters were in Origins. Her class describes her of being slightly seperated from the others of her clan for choices she's made. What choices? FIND OUT NEXT WEEK ON DAYS OF OUR LIVES.

Or Dragon Age 2, which conveniently enough, is out in a week as well.

Of the LI's for Dragon Age it seems like Merrill and Anders will have the most complicated stories. Though I must stress ESPECIALLY Anders.

Hahaha! That made my day! Sometimes it really does seem that way though.

I feel like Bioware will do an excellent job fleshing out all the party members but I do agree with you that Anders will most certainly have a depressing story/romance arc...no way around that I suppose.

Yeah, I was worried about Merrill at first but now I'm more so about Anders, I feel like he's gone partially bonkers maybe. 

Basically I just think he's going to be really hard to get friendly with. All signs point to him wanting to be unrealistically violent towards the chantry, templars, and everyone in between. Which is fine, I mean I don't like the Chantry too much either, but you just can't go into the street murdering them.

I am sure in the actual game it will be much more complex...heh heh.

This, what if we agree with the companion on a general note but disagree with their methods.... I want to know how good the rivalry system is in that regard... if it's accept with them in each aspect or you might be able to accept some of it and disregard others.

The "Dalish pariah" symbol looks similar to the Keeper spec from Awakening.  I hope it's been improved because I didn't like those spells much and never used them.

Yeah I'm pretty sure it'll be much improved. Especially since Merrill is more of a straight DPS mage in this game. So I'm sure it'll all effect spell power an magic regen.

Yeah, I really want to take down the chantry -if possible- in my first run, but if that mean s agreeing to Anders methods then I think we'll be at an impasse :innocent:

I don't want to take down the Chantry all together, but I definitely feel it's militant control grip on countries and cities need to be put to an end.

Also, yeah I noticed that what she was wearing was the same thing in the concept art of the races. Color me amused because that's the first time I've seen concept art stuff actually appear in a game I think. It is kind of interesting that she has her own unique well, I dunno, undergarment? Nightie? I have no idea what it is. XD

Little late to the is it real picture? party but i'm sorry to say that the picture with femhawke and merril is a fake. look really close at merrils neckline and you will see that her skin on her neck and face doesn't match her body.
