You have to enter 7 console commands in order to do the romance scene with Merrill, including forcing the sex to be female, and the dialogue is still not correct.

Most people will play the game at least once, so they will be able to romance Merrill if they want to.

For me - unless I play an evil character on my first play through, in which case I'll do more than one romance - I'm gonna romance her in my third game. Just 'cause my third game will be my Dalish Elf import game. But I will see the sex scene (then reload) because Merrill is the absolute best companion of all of them!

She doesn't seem like she's the kind of person who's going to be openly talking about liking other people let alone people of the same gender.

She doesn't seem like she's the kind of person who's going to openly talking about liking other people let alone people of the same gender.  

There's nothing wrong, I'll love Merrill straight or no, it's just there are already 2 bi companions. It'd be uneven to have two male and two female LIs where one male is straight and 1 male and 2 females. Anders can't be bi because he never says anything of a sexual nature nor refers to being attracted to a male Warden Commander.

Also, I'm not a homophobe, as long as a guy doesn't come up to me and ask me out, I don't care if he's homosexual. And I'm all for women being lesbians.

Elves are generally very small framed but she does look child-like in some of these pics but I remain hopeful she's a viable character with an interesting story.

I think I remember reading somewhere that someone messing around with the demo on pc found something, a command perhaps, that said "anders_malekiss" and anders_femalekiss" and the like.
I'm not certain however.
And i don't know anything about the pc demo so i wouldn't know if it was even possible to find something like that in a demo.

Nope, but then I already intended to play all classes, both genders That way I could experience all the angles. Besides, I have 6 playthroughs of DA:O sitting somewhere on an external hard drive, it'd be a shame to not use them all.

OT: I haven't seen any official announcement saying that all the LI's are bi, so until then it's all speculation to me, but I seriously hope it's true. It'd make my planned F!Hawke runs alot more interesting with Anders/Fenris/Merrill love triangles (or is it squares in this case?).

Ok, when it comes to this, I need someone to show me a picture with a circle showing that they mean. Because as far as I can tell, you can't even "see" Merrill's chest. Her arm, and Lady Hawke's boob is blocking it.



Seriously, she's lying on her side, and her chest is blocked. All see is her arm and shoulder.

I don't care if Merrill is bi or not, I always play a facsimile of myself in rpgs, so it's male Hawke for me.

Anyway, back on topic: I'm especially looking forward to hearing her voiced, especially as it's Eve Myles doing it - I found Isabela's voice a tad lacklustre (for a pirate) in the demo so I'm hoping the lilting Welsh accent adds that missing spark to the alternate LI's characterisation. Well, provided she doesn't do any of that horrible oggie oggie oggie nonsense...

My biggest issue with that is her arm, it looks like he arm is suppose to be resting on something different, also it looks very odd and jagged.

Indeed, the arm looks so bad I'm going to have to call bs on these images; they look like mockups made with model/image pieces and someones home computer.

I think her arm looks a little strange too, but couldn't that just be a graphical issue?
Also notide that female hawke's finger on that picture "enter" her shoulder (graphic override one another)
Why would a photoshopper put in a glitch?

Also on a side note i mut say that, that customized hawke looks alot like Leliana with wynnes hairstyle ^^
