There's nothing inherently wrong with the current available love interests, and you know very little about them. Seriously, a tiny little window of opportunity to see her, and you're calling her a little girl? 

What about the girls that don't like elves, or broody types, or dwarves, or guys in skirts with long hair? They're out of luck too, because the writers couldn't make every possible romance to appeal to every possible taste.

Um, what we know about Aveline and Isabela is pretty straight forward. She has big strong arms and swings a sword and board. Nothing specifically wrong with that but it's not the kind of thing that is going to have me seeking a romance with her. And if I remember correctly, isn't she married when you first run into her? You know how a lot of the female players have been complaining about the ex-wife syndrome? What makes them think the male players will be happy to have it switched to ex-husband syndrome? Isabela's attitude toward "romance" is anything but secret and it's a serious turn-off for me. Don't know so much about Merril, that's true. But we've seen an image of her. That image wasn't all too personally appealing. Maybe I'm wrong about her but the first impression isn't too great.

Personally as someone who has dated shorter chics with short hair...I don't get how it makes them look like pre-teens. I like the fact that the elves are shorter, its just a nice different take on them then the super tall, elegant, sophisticated, uber hot elves. Plus I think its alot to give criticism on one pic.



As I stated about Aveline with what little I had seen her I didn't like her, but with this video i've come to appreciate her look now as she really stands out to me, and that close up shot of her only did more justice to her character. So hopefully if this is A. Merril and B. A LI i'm stoaked for a different type of LI then what we had to choose from in DAO aka Friends With Benefits Hottie, or Lets rock this b---- all night

Both Sheryl Chee and Mr.Gaider came to her defense in the dev diary thread, suspecting it might be one of them...

Having seen the redesigned female elf for the first time, it still keeps me bouncing between "aww, cute" and "wtf". Not the "eeeew" sort of "wtf" mind you, i'm just trying to picture my warden CE in her place and it keeps weirding me out... at the same time i kind of dig it, though. The redesign does look more alien than what DAO had, and quite different from the concept art they showed earlier, too.

What you know about Aveline is limited to her figure--that's problem number one. You know nothing about her, personally. What we know about Isabela is that she's a pirate, and she likes sex. So did Morrigan, and Leliana did too (even if she changed to believe in twoo luv). She's not married--Zevran killed her husband. She didn't seem to care for him, and I doubt he'll be brought up much. Her feelings about romance is a fair point, though. I don't care much for it either, considering we just saw it happen quite a few BioWare romances.

Anyhow, you are judging Merrill entirely on a couple of screencaps and a second of footage.

Reminds me of that deer baby, chainsawed in half... Anyhow, I bet there's some cruel and dark story in her past. She either dies or at some point you have to choose if she lives or not.

Merril's facial balance is like that of a baby. WIDE forehead and upper 1/3 facial zone with a smaller nose, mouth and chin. I think that is partly what people are sensing, factor in disproportionate chest region and it just... well, it doesn't add up.



That said, I am glad the elves look different from humans, regardless.

Well, we do see her in the dalish origin. Not that she's explored a good deal, but we know she's training to be a keeper, and is in a position of responsibility within the clan. So "little girl" is probably a ways off.
