Yes, it's white. It can be seen (barely) in one of the videos on YouTube that shows the ending of the game.

Yes, I think it suits her. I'm not sure I like it more than her green outfit, but she wears it well.

I think she is an incredibly well done character. She has an innocence about her that strangely sort of reminds me of Tali, in a way.

I've only got the option with her once so far, but I've a high friendship with her, apparently, it starts to actually pick up pace in part 2&3 of the story.

side note: Am I the only one who loves the way Merrill pronounces "brothel"? She adds like a W and L into it.

There was one banter between them when he asks if the Dalish prance/frolic/skip (forgot which one) in the daisies. I think he got it from there.

What more could you ask for than a girl who's name is one letter away from being one of my favorite pokemon? In fact imagine the romance scenes. Marill Marill Marill

Someone at bioware plays pokemon this is an undeniable fact. She's my favorite female character and my second favorite character overall behind varric. She's nice and innocent and hilarious to hear talk with the party

The romance mostly seems to progress in... well, this is how far I've gotten

Part 1: Go to Kirkwall

Part 2: 1 year later

Part 3: 3 years after that. (this is where the Romance went beyond flirts, after her side quest)


She also gets her alternate outfit that people were talking about when she moves in with Hawke. And by "moves in" I mean "You'll still mostly find her in her home in the Alienage." For rather spoilerific reasons.

I seriously thought Merrill was overhyped. I planned on romancing someone else on my 1st playthrough. Then I actually "recruited" Merrill, and damn if she wasn't such a freakin' likeable LI. I can't resist!

So I'll get that saucy wench next time.

I gotta say, I've been loving Merrill since the day she was announced. Or well shown briefly in that one vid. But then I started playing and hearing all the frolicking talk, and rainbows and butterfly's talk began to make me queasy and uneasy about her. Then I found that gift for her. A Halla carving. And how she loved it. For some reason the fact that she loved that completely turned over how I felt about her and now she just seems sooo sweet to me.

I was pleased at how interesting Merrill was as a character, and how slowly the romance subplot developed. In addition to the humor that Merrill's character obviously offers, she also offers a sensation of pity and sadness that I found to be delightfully well done. Plus the romance was rather sweet. Anyways, back to lurking.

When can I start the actual "romance" with her? I'm in act 2, and I've only had 1 option with her, as opposed to everyone else who I've had the option atleast 5 times with each.

The romance subplot progresses slowly, just keep checking in on her in her house and doing quests related to her and you'll get there. I don't want to spoil the experience of the story by telling you when things start to "pick up".

I love that Merrill has a welsh accent and shes pretty much the only dalish that has one since the rest have Irish accents.
