The codex also mentions that Hawke and the Seneschal have recieved tons of angry letters from the more stuck up citizens of Hightown about Merrill living up there.
Good. I' glad Hawke and Merrill made people notice that elves and humans can live as equals. Too bad we didn't get any of those letters on our writing desk in Act 3. That would have been a fun read.
It'd be hilarious to see some strongly worded letter make it to hawke. I can see it now.

As far as I know Marethari dies no matter what you do. It's a matter of whether or not the entire clan turns on you.
Mm. Well, that's still a significant difference. Obviously, you can still make that choice right now, but I didn't want to given that the bugged cutscene didn't reflect that (I think?).

Now now, it's better to use him in a blood magic ritual. Just think: W.W.M.D.?

Especially since she mentions that her people might kill her if she ever goes back.

In the bugged cutscene thats supposed to come after her quest, it sounds like the Keeper and clan both lived and left Sundermount.

she mentions that they SHOULD have moved on by now, but when you go there, it's revealed that they didn't.Somebody wrote...
Then what was she talking about in that bugged cutscene?

Merrill tends to get lost in Kirkwall frequently, a matter that doesn't seem to be solving itself through time or familiarity with the city. On seperate occasions, she has accidentally found herself in the Viscount's bathing room, the Chantry airing cupboard, and in the middle of a dog racing track in Darktown.
Merrill eventually moved into Hawke's mansion in Hightown, and not as a servent, but as a partner. Much to the horror of the neighbors. She further scandalized the neighborhood by wandering around barefoot, picking the flowers out of other peoples gardens, and cooing cheerfully at their attack dogs. Several angry letters have since been sent to the Champion and the seneschal.

Scandalized, indeed.
