Is there some type of quota in dual-mage relationships? One has to be the blood mage and the other a spirit healer? XD

The blood magic never bothered me, just where she learned the blood magic from. I'm of the belief that blood magic isn't inherently evil, and she was using it to benefit others, ultimately.

Yeah I'm daring Bioware to make a Tevinter blood mage appear in the next game who's NOT evil.

I still say though, that Merrill's blood magic isn't what got her into trouble. The mirror is what did that.

No, Merrill's pride is what got her into trouble.  Being both a first and somewhat of a recluse she wanted to prove herself to the clan and the demon nurtured this.

Does she actually say if she will stop using blood magic after her personal quest?

No, but I didn't have a problem with her having it in the end. I trust her.

Oh Merrill can be sarcastic. She just hides it behind an innocent look so no one ever really gets it.

I dont really remember her being sarcastic. Maybe I missed it too.

I haven't noticed much sarcasm from her.

However, I can hardly tell when she's joking or not. If she's being humorous, she's incredibly sly and subtle about it.

Well, I never liked Bloodmagic because I felt it did more harm then good. And does do more harm, because you can nuke enemies with it. But you lose health unless you steal blood from someone else. I think she'd prefer to be healed after nuking, and turning the sustain off, then to keep stealing someone elses blood.

Also people don't trust you because you can control their bodies, or invade their dreams, etc. I didn't want to learn what I didn't want to learn. Plus the thing that happened to his mom... didn't want to learn it.

That's mostly what I meant I suppose. I think she's joking half the time and people around her just aren't picking up on it. Kinda like Luna Lovegood from Harry Potter (feels really stupid referencing this again). It is probably my best example though...

I don't think it's stupid...it's not the example I would use but it fits to an extent.

You wouldn't get close enough to her to pluck them out!

On a side note, where have I heard that from?

I've drawn that parallel myself (Luna/Merrill).  I can't think of a better one.

Id still like to get her to stop.

Aside from the keeper, it seems like every elven mage is a blood mage.

It's just like, I mostly think that everyone believes she's all oblivious and naive. And she is just a tad I suppose, but she's sharper than people give her credit for.

I think a lot of these little remarks she makes are really just jokes she thinks up. Such as talking about frolicing with Varric. Or her asking Anders if Ser Pounce a Lot was knighted and had a dashing cap.

What does he say about Merrill?

I believe it was something to the effect of "I hear your slipping it to that elf girl" He then has two comments one if Hawke is male another if Hawke is female.

The female is basically him drooling over the idea of the ladies getting it on.

My PC seemed to get plenty close to Merrill.
