I've just finished watching Isabela's romance scene, and have also seen Fenris' scene. Isn't it kind of odd that Merrill's scene is the only one where skin is shown?
I don't care. Smecksy Merrill is nomnoms.

I wonder how Merrill learned to smell demons in someone's blood.
It sort of makes sense as being an abomination comes with a dramatic physical change. There might be far more subtle changes if you aren't possessed but have a demon lurking in your... head?
There's a quest in Act 1 where Templars are disappearing. It turns out a blood mage is attempting to turn them into abominations.ishmaeltheforsaken wrote...
Merrill doesn't have a demon lurking in her head.
Wait, I don't understand. You're clearly referencing something, but I don't get it

Maybe demonic possession increases your mitochondrial level.
Do different spirits have different scents? "His blood is smokey with undertones of peach. It's a pride demon."

You rescue a young Templar named Kaern and have to determine if he's possessed or not. If you use Merrill, she'll sniff his blood and say she can't smell any demons in it.

Well, Merrill can't die, right?
She can, actually.
Damn. Well, Varric is a unreliable narrator.

I must not have had Merrill with me when I did that
New plan. Have Merrill with me for everything.

I used Merrill and Anders all the time. Those two were great, Anders hate of blood magic, and Merrill going on about him and Justice made for some good banter.MasterSamson88 wrote...

I think Merrill was in my party so much that she was probably losing sleep over it. Or could of used a bath from all the constant wandering around.
