That's not the same accent. Other than that, they're both awesome accents; because, as you know, when you said horrible accent you really meant to say how awesome they are.1Nosphorus1 wrote...
As much as I liked her character and voice actor, I couldn't help but hear this comedian everytime she talked...

They're almost the same accent, it immediately reminded me of her off of Mock the Week even though I knew it was the bird out of Torchwood doing the accent.
It's probably to do with the way merill talks, fast and full of nonsense.

Well, of course there are similarities, but the two aren't even from the same country. One is Welsh (I don't know from what region since I don't know anyone from Wales) and the other is northern English (I think it's northeastern, I'm not sure because there are so many pronounced differences in inflection in the northern part of England; you would know better than me since you're from the UK, so enlighten me1Nosphorus1 wrote...

*DA2 rescuing a hostage right before they are executed*
*The team is Hawke, Merrill, Isabela, and Varric*
Varric: Look's like we got here just in time to save the day, what does that make us?
Isabela: Big damn heroes!
Varric: That's right.
Merrill:...I don't get it, I thought we were already heroes.....
Hawke: Just let them have their moment.

I'll miss her.
At the end of her quest, what did you guys suggest she do: Whatever she wants, Continue looking for Dalish history, or Help the alienage?

Accents differ and blend in pretty much every region of the UK, she happens to come from one with a very muddled up community so her accents a bit weird, which is what I'd consider Welsh to also be, "Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeere" and stuff like that just sound so forced.
Even in my area, people discriminate based on accent when in reality, all of the local areas sound pretty much identical (Black country accents) but a few hours drive south leads to Somerset, land of the farmers accent etc etc.
Uk's a weird place to be in, but Merril's voice coupled with her quick speech just reminded me of that comedian, infact everytime she talked all I could picture was Mock of the Week

Haha, I don't know if that's a good thing. Probably not since it'll break immersion. I really do like Sarah Millican, though.1Nosphorus1 wrote...

Almost done with page 3 now.
/Edited images into links since I'll be posting up more comic pages in a moment and don't want to bog down the thread with too many large images at once.

I like my protagonists with flaws. Not just personality flaws, but physical imperfections that make them more human. Legam was chubby. Kenely goes bald over the years:

Its where she says "Im all alone, what will I do now?". You have 3 response options, and an extra one if you romanced her.ishmaeltheforsaken wrote...
