Are you sure that all that stuff of Blood Magic is right?

Hawke: If you have to cut your wrist every time you use it. Then it can not be good for your health...

and THAT is the reason i've intentionally kept all of the blood spells on Merrill locked-out so she couldn't use Blood Magic i love her too much to allow her torment herself

Yeah, b/c Merrill totally bleeds to death in game ....

It's not like she successfullly uses blood magic for 7 years without harming herself or unleashing demons on the Alieneage.

well in game no but it could happen irl and i'm always take more realistic than imaginary approach -wierd me i know:P

Give Merrill some Con and she can cast pretty much constantly with blood magic, as well as being tough for a mage.

I do feel sorry for Bodahn doing the laundry. Blood Mages shouldn't wear white - you'll never get all the stains out.

No, I support her in it too. Especially since she just uses her own blood. It's only the demon dealing me/my Hawkes usually get on her case about.

I think it's hilarious that a sweet, adorable character who's about 90 pounds when wet fights by constantly hosing down areas with her blood.

And by hilarious I mean mildly amusing.

I don't really support it as such, but i don't oppose it either.

As she says herself "Blood magic is a magic like any other there is nothing more evil about it"
That said she should be able to mind control with it, which i could see would be rather... Unpleasant...

But Merrill seems to be the type that only uses her own blood, i can't see the harm in that, might as well throw a fireball as a fountain of blood.

Merrill's blood magic is absolutely beast. I've leveled her at 2con/1mag. She has as much health as Aveline and never runs out.

It's Sheryl Chee's fault. She linked TiK ToK as a silly Isabela theme, and I haven't been able to get this mental image out of my head ever since. Enjoy the ridiculousness.

It seems that Merrill swinging was inspired by Hawke asking himself who was swinging on the chendalier (or something), only to say "Merrill" afterwards. Though earlier on Sandal's the scapegoat...

Also, her face bears some resemblance to the troll face in that picture...

Certainly not the only one, blood mage Merrill FTW! 

I was originally torn between choosing the friend or rival path for my canon, but it's the blood magic issue that ultimately has made me settle for the friend path. I don't want her to give it up.

Plus, I love having my girls using blood magic together, it makes them even more badass. In a cute way for Merrill, even badass Merrill is still cute...
