I must admit, I had a big sigh of relief when I saw Carver get kidnapped instead of Merrill.

I paused to take a pic of Anders because he bugged again with enchant weapon and enchanted himself, so he looked like he had vengeance active,but was glowing red.  I looked and was like WTF?! Is Varric molesting Merrill?

LOL, that's the reaction I had to it...and yeah...Anders tends to do that alot...

ps: Would like to like know who in the hell said this is a 20 hr game...my first playthrough took 47 hrs...though I admit I spent a ton of time reading codexes as well as the guide that time...and my second playthrough which was as a rogue took 37 hrs...so, as far as I can tell...even for me a console player this is atleast a 35 to 40 hr game...which is about as long as took me to get through origins on average...

20 hours?! I am a speed freak when it comes to games if you ask my boyfriend(only because I don't know how to take a break) But the game took me around 40 hours as well.  I made sure I did EVERYTHING!! Oh and I love reading the codexes too!  I mean the Arishok fight too me like 15 mintues...he owned my soul

My playthrough took 55 hours. My second playthrough took me 32 hours. Acts I and II took me 30, but by the time I reached Act III, I hated playing my rogue SO MUCH that I skipped absolutely everything I could except the High Dragon, because I wanted to complete my armor set.

Ugh.... the arishok fight is long as hell as a warrior...atleast as apposed to what it took me as a rogue and I am NOT looking forward to that fight as a mage:unsure:( though I did that one one casual so I could speed through it....as I am a warrior player at heart...though my 3rd run I'm doing a female mage playthrough). I also did everything...even all the little extra quests ( like take those 2 or 3 extra treks up sundermount to kill all the new enemies...and demons n dragons there....as well as the criminal fights you can do at night around the city...

Warrior player here too.  I love what they did to them this time around! Two handed fighting is fun at last!

Ohh hell yeah, it is...my first hawks was a 2-handed vanguarding, reaver /bezerker death machine...lol. Besides, aveline damn good as a tank especially if u max her personal..which is overkill in this game especially if you focus on the defender tree as well.

I went Templar/Reaver.  Mages hated me!  But Anders loved me...weird considering I was a TEMPLAR! and the melee version of a blood mage.  I really wish they would add dialog in for that stuff...

I'll eventually do a templar run one of these days...especially considering there is a certain hairstyle and if your good enough with the creator...you can make Lady Hawke look like Cassandra...

I know exactly how you feel...though in origins...you could mention to wynne( and Leliana) that you are blood mage,  though that usually made them leave the party( which I hated...since you could make wynne said spec in that game).

Here is a quick (20-25ish minutes) value sketch of Merril I made from memory... I forgot the tattoos, I have a terrible memory .  Anywho, it looks Merrill-ish at least, enjoy, I will finish and post a more complete version if requested.

No matter what others say about the quality of this game, it made me do fan art, and that, to me, makes it an amazering game , thanks Bioware!

Well, to be fair, I am on my 5th playthrough, Merrill is ALWAYS in my party and I drew her last week for a friend, so, the image of Merrill is pretty much burned into my mind for the time being heh, I'm not complaining though, I could have much worse images in my brain (sister Patrice...*shudder*).

I will add to it and post it when I can, or, most specifically, when it's not 4:40 am, gah, sleep!

I agree with Ishamel...awesome job indeed! Merrill is ALWAYS in my party party as well...as soon as I get her...which is usually once I reach around level 7 or so. I can't wait to see the finished product as well!

And here I thought people loved playing rogue. Now Im having second thoughts about trying it in a future run.

But first I need to finish my current one, which wont happen until the patch is out...
